The Opportunity

This Alternative Investment Analyst will be primarily responsible for the on-going monitoring of MassMutual Investment Management’s alternative investment portfolio, covering various asset classes including: private equity, real estate, opportunistic credit, commercial mortgage loan and renewable energy. The Team

The team is small, close-knit, and highly collaborative. This role will be a critical full-time member of the team. Team members are motivated by a shared goal to source attractive investment opportunities for MassMutual’s General Investment Account. The Alternative Investment Analyst will support the alternative investment program, working closely with portfolio managers, external asset managers, and other team members across the Investment Management group.

The Impact:

  • Evaluate and manage existing reporting and monitoring procedures and systems and propose improvements
  • Lead fund performance and commitment data reporting on a quarterly basis, working closely with various teams to improve the process and solve issues
  • Reconcile and monitor reported quantitative fund performance with the historical analyst’s understanding of the status and performance of said fund and capturing this reconciled understanding as a quarterly performance grade.
  • Track and analyze fund consent forms, voting proxies, and ongoing fund or manager changes
  • Maintain and organize a file repository for all fund investments reports
  • Serve as the primary deal analyst for certain legacy limited partnership investments
  • Design and build quantitative models at the request of portfolio managers in support of underwriting new investments
  • Provide regular and adhoc reports and data requests for both internal and external IM stakeholders

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of of investment experience
  • 3+ years of experience with reporting and analysis using Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point)

Responsibilities

Capital Planning & Reporting (Primary Focus ~70%):

  • Maintain shared trackers, files, and document repositories for both the Development and Asset Management teams.
  • Coordinate with Asset Management and Development groups to collect required documentation and monthly/quarterly updates.
  • Prepare recurring reporting packages for internal Asset Managers, including monthly and quarterly capex activities.
  • Ensure timely submission of reporting deliverables, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Document management for capital planning files, approvals, and audit support.
  • Maintain databases and files (e.g., development projects, financing deals).
  • Assist with preparation for internal and external presentations related to capital planning and asset performance.

Operational Support (~30%):

  • Coordinate meetings and calls, including scheduling, agendas, and distribution of materials.
  • Track follow up and open items from meetings.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems for Asset Management.
  • Assist Development team as needed with close out items for projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • One to two years of experience in Commercial Real Estate or Property Management-related position.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other Windows applications.
  • Experience with Yardi is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An assessment will be administered for computer and communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and proactively keep projects on schedule.

outfit, which is provided by the Visitors Center, and leads groups through Lexington's Battle Green and the Old
Burying Ground. Guides are frequently exposed to adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold,
wetness and humidity and are required to walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods of time.

Tours run multiple times a day and on multiple days throughout the week, including weekends, from April
through November. Each tour is 60 minutes long. This position may have additional opportunities to provide
private Battle Green Walking tours when available.

Visitors' Center Tourism Advisor/Cashier

Hourly Rate: $15.68/hour
Part Time: Monday through Sunday (all week), weekend availability strongly preferred

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Visitor Center Manager, this position performs a variety of clerical,
administrative, and customer service tasks to support the overall operations of the Visitor Center. Tourism
Advisors/Cashiers greet and converse with visitors, providing them with insights into the town's rich history
and culture by serving as ambassadors to enhance the visitor's experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Assists the public at the front counter by ringing up purchases;
* Answers questions and provides information in person, via email, and by telephone;
* Refers unresolved matters to the appropriate staff member;
* Performs basic office tasks;
* Reconciles cash drawer at the end of their shift;
* Performs special project and other related duties as required or as the situation dictates;
* Maintain an attention to detail for accurate inventory and transaction records;
* Restock merchandise and brochures on the sales floor;
* Regular attendance at the workplace is required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to stand and walk during shifts;
* 14 years of age or older;
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers;
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service;
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed;

* Previous customer service and hospitality experience and general knowledge of Boston's history are
preferred, but not required;
* Ability and motivation to work collaboratively in a team environment;
* Strong math skills are preferred, but not required.

Ability to:

* Effectively handle close contact with co-workers and frequent interactions with the public;
* Multitask, concentrate, and perform administrative support services in a busy environment;
* Remember, with clarity, a variety of task instructions and preferred procedures
* Work well independently in any temporary absence of supervision.
* Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and maintain effective work relationships.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is performed in a normal retail store environment, not subject to extremes of temperatures, noise, odor,
etc. Operates a cash register and other office equipment. Work requires extended periods of standing, keying
a cash register and bagging customer purchases, which require eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.

Hours: The Visitors Center is open daily, seven days a week throughout the year excluding Thanksgiving,
Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Shifts are typically split between the morning and afternoon.
