What You Will Do:

• Follow specific directions of Leader/Supervisor to carry out repair and restoration projects for engine parts.
• Layout work requirements and obtain needed equipment to perform routine repair and alteration operations.
• Perform bench repair operations to restore parts where close tolerances are not normally required and specifically defined criteria are used.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• .Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as operator’s check list for upkeep and to assure equipment operates properly.
• Assist others responsible for new process tryout, and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description.
• .Refer difficulties to Leader/Supervisor.
• Maintain logs and records as requested to communicate findings and prepare requests for approval.
• May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within assigned area.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual’s skills.

2nd shift hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 3 pm to 12 am.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Able to obtain/ maintain active Security Clearance after Day 1 of work.

• 2 years of experience in blueprint reading, CNC manual machining & reading. Knowledge of shop math.

Qualifications We Prefer: In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).

• Work under the direction of the Group Leader, and with limited supervision, perform various finishing operations on a variety of machined parts having close tolerance specifications. Employ 5S and Lean Manufacturing skills in every day work practices.
  
• Work from blueprints and verbal/written work instructions, set up tools and machinery needed to perform deburr and secondary operations on piece parts. This includes but is not limited to hand deburring, drilling, tapping, sand blasting, tumble deburring, and Passivation (Stainless Steel cleaning process).
  
• Perform repetitive deburring, polishing, grinding, and buffing operations on standard piece parts to achieve finish specifications.
  
• Set up, adjust and operate various types of drill press equipment to perform difficult and intricate drilling, tapping and counter-bore operations. Perform general shop work such as drilling, machining and sanding.
  
• Obtain and maintain certification to perform Passivation, abrasive blasting, and Molykote or Dry Film Lube application.
  
• Examine and inspect piece parts to ensure conformance to specifications as per operator acceptance program (OAP).

• Over 5 years of CNC Machining experience to qualify.
  
• Use of elementary geometry, algebra and trigonometric principles together with the use of drawings, specifications, charts and tables. Ability to use various types of precision measuring tools and instruments. Familiarity with shop practices, inspection and safety.

Women who may have the ability to produce eggs but are unable to use their uterus or do not have a uterus, may consider a surrogate. A donated egg may also be used with the surrogate in the event a woman cannot produce her own eggs or her uterus is not intact or insufficient to carry a pregnancy. In either case, the husband's sperm, if viable, may be used.

Using an egg donor unrelated to the surrogate carrier eliminates any biological tie. The egg of the surrogate is never used as part of the assisted reproduction process, so that a surrogate is never in the position of delivering her own biological child.

The basic requirements of a woman to serve as a surrogate are:

• Responsible
• In good physical health
• Non-smoker
• Has had at least one successful pregnancy
• Is capable of carrying a child to full term

In Texas, there is a judicial process for validating the Gestational Contract (the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate). Included within the various requirements for having a Gestational Contract validated by a Texas court is that the intended parents must be married and the surrogate must have previously carried a child to term. Additionally, there are residency requirements that apply to either the surrogate or the intended parents, but not both.

Compensation for a surrogate services generally starts in the range of $35,000 - $40,000, for base compensation with over all fees up to 70k, in many cases. The amount of compensation is dependent upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, whether the surrogate carries twins, what procedures a surrogate is required to undergo and whether the delivery is vaginally or by cesarean section.
