Responsibilities: About the Role

During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member's current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member's overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers:
  • Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols
  • Administer and order point of care and lab-based testing as needed
  • Work with physicians, case managers, social workers, family members, key caregivers, and ancillary medical personnel as appropriate
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Physician (PCP) on patient education and follow up as necessary
  • Provide services at the member's place of residence which can be in their homes or Skilled Nursing Facilities

The Sr. Patient Navigator serves as the face of the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) practice and is often the first point of contact for patients. In this role, the Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth, coordinated flow of operations between the REI practice and Premium Health’s Brooklyn site, while delivering a compassionate, organized, and professional patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and empathetic manner
  • Serve as the primary front-desk representative for the REI practice
  • Perform insurance eligibility checks and basic insurance verification
  • Print and prepare patient labels, laboratory orders, and clinical documentation, as well as copy/scan/fax the information into the relevant source
  • Assist patients with completion and organization of required paperwork

Qualifications you'll bring:

 

  • Two or more years in a customer service or sales environment, with some experience in the health care industry such as a hospital, medical office, or health insurance company.
  • The ability to speak more than one language (for example, English and Spanish).
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • The availability to work full-time, hybrid, including local travel weekdays, nights and weekend for events.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth.

Your key responsibilities:

 

  • Spearhead our membership growth initiatives in crucial target areas by identifying eligible individuals and seamlessly enrolling them in a variety of plans including Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), HARP, Off-Exchange, Medicare Advantage (MA) products, and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNP).
  • Conduct both individual and group outreach activities to present our innovative health care solutions on- and off-site at various events-from health fairs and community expos to festivals and holiday-themed gatherings-ensuring MVP's presence is both seen and felt. Your collaborative efforts alongside our Field Marketing and Community Engagement Representatives will be pivotal in driving growth and visibility in assigned territories.
  • Foster positive relationships with community-based organizations, medical provider partners, and community contacts to develop a robust network within your territory.
  • Navigate the local landscape with required travel , embracing the opportunity to bring MVP's customer-centric philosophy to life across our footprint.
  • Participate in necessary screenings and provide proof of immunization as part of our commitment to community well-being.
  • Demonstrate the dynamic capability to transport up to 30 lbs. of promotional materials, which play a key role in educating and empowering our customers about their health care choices.
  • Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing health care delivery and being the difference for the customer.

Our history Talkiatry was founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing care. Together, they set out to reimagine outpatient psychiatry by building a model that supports both patients and clinicians, while expanding access to mental healthcare.

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice built to combine the stability of a hospital practice with the clinical autonomy of private practice.  
This role is designed for psychiatrists who want:
  • Predictable, W-2 compensation and benefits  
  • Flexible scheduling, control over their schedule, session structure, and patient population  
  • Minimal administrative burden in a fully remote, outpatient model 
What your day-to-day practice looks like:
  • 100% remote, outpatient psychiatry  
  • Lower to moderate acuity populations (ex. anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD) 
  • Patient population across the lifespan: children & adolescents (treated by board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists only), adults, and geriatric patients 
  • Standard session lengths (60-minute intakes, 30-minute follow ups) 
  • No inpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization care or crisis coverage 
  • In-house referral network to therapists 
  • Full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing 
Clinical autonomy & flexibility:
  • Control over schedule and weekly availability  
  • Session length within established clinical standards  
  • Patient population, balanced to individual criteria and preferences 
  • Clinical decision-making without pressure to shorten visits or increase volume
