SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Construction Jobsite Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish. This role includes the setup of the construction site, coordination of workers, and management of field office activities. The role ensures that all operations on the site adhere to quality standards, safety protocols, and budget constraints. This position requires constant presence on the construction site to monitor progress, enforce standards, and report to the Project Manager.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Site Management:

  • Plan and coordinate the setup of the construction site, including the organization of workers, equipment, and field office operations.
  • Maintain a constant presence on the construction site to ensure that work adheres to company, industry, and project-specific standards.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner, adhering to specific cleanliness standards or procedures.

Safety Administration:

  • Administer the company’s safety policy to field employees and subcontractors, including providing training and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Update construction schedule weekly to ensure scheduled activities are highlighted and milestones are met.
  • Create a two-to-three-week lookahead schedule weekly and prepare for presentation at the scheduled project meeting. 
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work, covering specific topics and documenting discussions.
  • Carefully plan and sequence construction activities to minimize delays while anticipating potential obstacles and adjusting maintain project momentum and efficiency.

Quality Control:

  • Perform quality control checks on the work being performed, following specified procedures and using appropriate tools.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work, verifying compliance, and addressing any deficiencies.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion, following the defined punch list process and documenting actions taken.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain a daily log (written) of activities on the job site in a specified format or system.
  • Ensure that all reports, records, timesheets, and other documents comply with company policy and procedure.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team regarding ASIs (Architect’s Supplemental Instructions), RFIs (Requests for Information), and Material Submittals.
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution, documenting issues and actions taken.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors for quality of work or scheduling, following a defined process and outlining consequences.
  • Leadership and Supervision:
  • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously, including overseeing site operations and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Walk the entire project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning, using specific checklists or reports.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Jobsite Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specification documents.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Prolog, Project Mates).

  • Manages all patient placement and progression functions in a responsive manner responding to all callers with the aid of the electronic health record, approved clinical protocols, and established patient care protocols and healthcare information.

  • Works with all Memorial Hermann hospital teams and key stakeholders on facilitating efficient, timely placement of patients across the system.

    • Facilitate the coordination of patient placement with physicians, staff RNs, and other departments while meeting state and federal regulations (COBRA/EMTALA); plan of care to optimize patient outcomes and decrease length of stay in an unbiased, standardized manner

  • Uses available tracking systems to maintain ongoing surveillance of available staffed beds. Monitors progress with bed assignments and arrivals of patients to assigned units; monitors for timeliness of transfers and discharges.

  • Incorporates knowledge of hospital and unit admission criteria, unit specialties, limitations, and patient need when determining proper patient placement.

  • Conducts or participates in daily bed meetings where appropriate.

  • Alerts department leadership of delays with patient flow for individual patients and departments experiencing delays.

The Stranding Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating the stranding machine and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the strand meets required specifications. The Stranding Operator is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the stranding machine.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Record set-up information at the start of each order.
  2. Load in full bobbins with the use of appropriate mechanical devices.
  3. Weld or knot new wire with old wire in the machine from previous order (if applicable).
  4. Thread machine by pulling wire through guides and stranding heads.
  5. Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding head, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
  6. Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
  7. Twist the new strand together and pick the wires into the proper strand construction.
  8. Adjust bobbin tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
  9. Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  11. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs, process changes, or business requirements.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Stranding Operators should possess math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Stranding Operators must have the ability to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools
  • Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts
  • Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing job responsibilities, schedules, and operational requirements.

Role Description

The US Training Manager is responsible for designing and leading a structured training and development program for hourly and production team members across U.S. operations. This role focuses on creating a strong 30-60-90 day onboarding experience and building sustainable cross-training programs that improve retention, workforce flexibility, safety, and product quality.

This leader partners closely with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, HR, and Safety to ensure employees are trained, confident, and capable of performing multiple roles that support operational continuity and customer delivery.

Onboarding Excellence (30-60-90 Day Focus)

  • Design and standardize a 30-60-90 day onboarding program for all hourly/production roles
  • Ensure new hires receive consistent training on safety, quality, and operational expectations
  • Develop onboarding checklists, job training guides, and leader tools
  • Partner with site leaders to ensure onboarding is executed with consistency and accountability
  • Measure and improve new hire retention and early performance indicators

Cross-Training & Workforce Flexibility

  • Develop cross-training matrices for key production roles at each site
  • Create structured cross-training pathways that enable workforce flexibility
  • Support sites in identifying skill gaps and building bench strength
  • Establish certification and skill validation processes for hourly team members
  • Partner with operations to reduce single-point dependency on roles

Training Program Development

  • Build and maintain role-based training materials and job instruction guides
  • Standardize training content while allowing for site-specific needs
  • Implement train-the-trainer capability at each site
  • Leverage visual, hands-on, and practical training methods appropriate for production teams

Safety, Quality, and Operational Alignment

  • Integrate safety and quality expectations into all training programs
  • Partner with Safety and Quality leaders to reinforce safe work practices
  • Ensure training supports operational KPIs and customer delivery needs

Retention & Engagement

  • Use training as a tool to improve retention and employee engagement
  • Create development pathways for hourly employees to grow skills and opportunities
  • Monitor turnover trends and adjust training approach accordingly

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track training effectiveness through metrics such as:
    • 30/60/90 day retention
    • Time to proficiency
    • Cross-training coverage by role
    • Safety and quality performance trends
    • Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and results
