Responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Project set-up including project “pass off” meeting with the salesperson, creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, and budget setup in the accounting software
• Project schedule milestone tracking including executed contract due dates, submittal requirement date, submittal approval due dates, operation and maintenance manual due dates, equipment ship dates, startup coordination, and equipment warranty tracking
• Manage relationships with Vendors, Contractors, Engineers, & Owners including frequent teleconference meetings
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs including change orders and RFIs (requests for information)
• Coordinate internal and third-party resources throughout the execution of projects
• Creation of purchase requisitions for project material
• Comprehensive "open item" tracking to ensure no tasks get missed
• Oversee shop production of assigned projects
• Simultaneously work multiple projects with competing demands
• Detailed review of engineering submittals for scope of supply accuracy
• Distinguish critical project issues from normal ones and escalate them to management as needed
• Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy
• As we are a small office, the addition of further responsibilities beyond those mentioned, is possible to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong time management skills
• Self-motivation and personal accountability
• Some understanding of process instrumentation and electrical drawings
• The capability to learn and constantly improve processes and tools
• Engineering and Mechanical background preferred
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, blowers) preferred
• Experience working in a professional office setting
• Customer service experience

This individual will develop long term partnerships with our customers to build win/win solutions within an assigned territory and account list. They will focus on utility equipment such as skid-loaders, mini-excavators and compact loaders while promoting all aspects of RDO Equipment Co. in a professional manner.

$70000 - $90000 / year

Specific Duties Include:

• Use Company provided systems/tools (i.e. S2) to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction.
• Effectively understand and use manufacturers' programs and resources to attain acceptable market share levels.
• Sell whole-goods, parts, and service as a customer solution and build long term relationships within their territory to maximize customer and company profitability.
• Develop a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends.
• Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer work site.
• Maintain strong knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
• Work in conjunction with Sales Manager and New Equipment Ordering (NEO) department, responsible for follow-up and expediting of whole good orders.
• Accountable for timely follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinating and/or communicating with customers and applicable departments ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) or CDL Class B (straight truck) license.

* Must have and maintain medical card and acceptable driving record and required endorsements.

* Over 3 months up to and including 6 months verifiable work experience.

* Gathering, collating or classifying information about data, people or things. Reporting and/or carrying out a prescribed action in relation to the information is frequently involved.

* Attending to the work assignment instructions or orders of supervisor.

* Starting, stopping, controlling and adjusting the actions of machines or equipment for which a course must be steered, or which must be guided to control the movement of things or people for a variety of purposes. Involves such activities as observing gauges and dials, estimating distances and determining speed and direction of other objects, turning cranks and wheels and pushing or pulling gear lifts or levels.

* Occasional lifting of 20-50lbs, frequently lifting 10-25lbs, constantly lifting up to 10lbs.

* Meet all DOT federal regulations.

* Clean driving record.

* Have working knowledge and experience in examining vehicle to detect malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needed.

* Read maps & have extensive knowledge of the local area.

* Willing to train the right applicant, CDL is still required.
