MinKwon Center for Community Action was established in 1984 to meet the needs and concerns of the Korean American community. Since our founding, we have made a profound presence through various grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy initiatives that address important community issues, including immigration policies at the national, state and city levels, voter rights, and cultural awareness. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual to serve as a Civic Engagement Associate. The Civic Engagement Associate will work to empower the Korean and wider Asian American community in Northern New Jersey through voter engagement, organizing, education and advocacy around voting and immigrant rights.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Plan and execute educational workshops and community outreach events.
- Help coordinate voter outreach and educational activities, including developing bilingual educational materials, door-to-door canvassing, and executing voter registration and engagement efforts.
- Build relationships with other organizations and coalitions and coordinate Citywide and Statewide immigration advocacy for community members.
- Research and maintain up to date information on key community issues and immigration policies.
- Input and maintain data on organizing and civic engagement activities in MinKwon database.
- Represent MinKwon in coalition spaces and in meetings with other external partners such as government agencies, elected officials, and funders.
- Work closely with communications staff to plan media activities that raise awareness of our campaigns and activities through mainstream and ethnic press, and to develop external communications materials such as factsheets and pamphlets.
- Support the development staff with timely reports, data, and other grant management needs related to the activities of the New Jersey site.
- Support the work of the other New Jersey programs as needed.
- Participate in organization-wide events, campaigns, and initiatives as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum required qualifications for this position include the following:
- Experience in grassroots community organizing and/or community outreach.
- Spoken and written fluency in Korean.
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and outside normal office hours.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an openness to public speaking.
- Experience working with diverse communities of color and in particular with the AAPI community.
- Knowledge, interest, and commitment towards concepts and issues of social, political, and economic justice and positive social change in the U.S., especially in the context of Korean American, APA, and/or immigrant communities.
- Ability to work well independently, in teams, and in collaboration with outside organizations.
The ideal candidate will also have the following preferred qualifications:
- Experience in facilitating meetings with large and small groups.
- Ability to be highly organized, meet deadlines, take initiative on projects with minimal supervision and a sense of ownership, and follow up on communications in a consistent and punctual manner.
- Proficiency in using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media.
- Experience with voter registration, phone banking, and/or canvassing preferred.

Role Summary: The successful candidate will assess residents’ interests, employment history, and aptitudes to develop tailored employment plans through vocational and educational counseling, referrals for skills development, job readiness preparation, training, and employment placement programs, leading to full-time or part-time unsubsidized employment. The Employment Specialist will collaborate with colleagues to address the vocational and educational needs of their caseload, contributing to program success while aligning with NAICA’s core purpose, values, and vision.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:
The Employment Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provide counseling and assistance to clients to achieve employment and housing goals.
- Coordinate client employment training while optimizing cost containment to expedite their return to work.
- Monitor and document client progress to ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Consult with clients to discuss options and goals, developing plans for accessing necessary services.
- Connect clients to external resources to support employment opportunities.
- Utilize assessment tools (CARES, Vocational Profile) to identify support service needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Orient clients to the shelter program, including requirements and consequences.
- Develop and maintain clients’ Independent Living Plans (ILP) and Psychosocial records via CARES.
- Assist non-working clients in obtaining Public Assistance.
- Track and monitor client progress or lack thereof through documentation in CARES.
- Facilitate group or individual sessions to motivate and empower clients in their planning and goal-setting.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with clients, or as needed.
- Refer clients for job development and subsequent employment opportunities when appropriate.
- Direct clients to resources to support their goal attainment.
- Provide after-care services to address issues, challenges, and successes, enhancing long-term self-sufficiency.
- Maintain client files, including conversations, warnings, progress reports, and documentation of all incidents via CARES.
- Report critical incidents immediately to the Director of Social Services.
- Collaborate with Housing Specialists and Case Managers to assess client readiness for employment and/or housing.
- Treat all clients, visitors, and employees with kindness, respect, and dignity.
- Refer clients to internal and external resources, serving as an advocate when necessary.
- Develop and sustain connections with other programs and units within the organization for inter-agency referrals.
- Substitute for other employment staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and bend over.

Role Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing housing services to help clients understand and overcome personal or social issues affecting their housing. The housing specialist will cooperate with case managers to develop service plans for clients to ensure permanent and stable housing and access to community sources. The specialist will be encouraged to be cross-trained and have an understanding of the job functions within the Social Services Department.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:
The Housing Specialist - Shelter is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Serve as a case manager for clients with a goal of placing them in transitional and permanent housing
- Assist in client intake, service planning, advocacy and referral services in the absence of a case manager
- Meet weekly or bi-weekly to follow-up on ILP
- Maintain records and counsel session logs in DHS CARES system
- Conduct housing related activities and workshops
- Provide follow-up case management for clients placed in housing, to promote retention and document outcomes (aftercare mediation)
- Communicate with evening/weekend staff and with staff of other agencies to coordinate client services such as room and apartment viewings

- Submit applications for General Population, Housing Preservation Development, and Supportive Housing via the PACT System.
- Compile and submit packages to DHS for Special One Time Assistance (SOTA), Enhanced One Shot Deal (EOSD), CityFHEPS and Pathway Home
- Inspect client living quarters regularly
- Escort clients to permanent housing or provide transportation Ensure rental agreements are finalized
- Make appointments with landlords and other housing agents to ensure individuals have housing leads
- Work collaboratively with social services staff to identify client readiness on housing

About Sales Strategy & Operations
As a Sales Strategy & Operations (SS&O) team, our mission is to power sustainable revenue growth for Pinterest with datadriven strategic insights and decision making, tight management against them and highimpact revenue management. This role sits within the SS&O team supporting Global Agency Sales, partnering closely with the VP, Global Agency Sales and regional Agency Sales leaders to shape how Pinterest shows up with the world's largest media holding companies and independent agencies.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, and in close partnership with the VP, Global Agency Sales, you will develop and bring to life datadriven strategies that deepen Pinterest's partnerships with media agencies and accelerate revenue growth across our agency portfolio. In this role, you will:
Partner with Global and Regional Agency Sales leadership to define and deploy critical strategic, organizational and operational initiatives that improve agency health, drive revenue growth, and increase sales productivity across holding companies and key independents.
Shape Pinterest's global agency strategy and planning by developing frameworks for agency segmentation, coverage models, deal governance, and account planning that reflect agency structures (holding companies, networks, operating companies, and buying units).
Lead the analysis of agency business performance (revenue, forecast, sales pipelines, agency deals, investment mix, portfolio health, margin and incentives) to identify opportunities, risks and gaps - including recurring agency business reviews and adhoc deep dives; translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for sales and executive stakeholders.
Partner with crossfunctional teams (Finance, Product & Engineering, Product Marketing, BizOps, Client Solutions) to align on priorities and ensure agencyfocused initiatives, products, and tools (including agency planning and reporting tools) are designed and launched in ways that meet agency needs and drive measurable impact.
Build scalable reporting, tooling and operating cadences to monitor agency health and program performance (e.g., global agency metrics reviews, dashboards, and playbooks), ensuring the broader sales org can easily understand performance and act on insights.
Structure and execute complex, crossfunctional projects endtoend: define problem statements, build work plans, gather and synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs, lead analyses, align stakeholders, and drive decisions and execution.

What We're Looking For:
7+ years of professional experience in strategy & operations in a fastpaced, highly analytical environment (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, tech/media, or revenue/sales strategy & operations).
Familiarity with global media agencies - including holding company and operating company structures, investment and trading teams, planning and buying functions, how agencies make investment decisions and evaluate partners, and how agency operating models inform global deals, JBPs and enablement programs.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a strong ability to analyze and manipulate large, complex datasets (e.g., revenue, pipeline, pricing, incentives, media performance) to generate clear insights, identify trends, and translate them into structured opportunities and recommended actions.
Proven experience building dashboards, reporting and decision frameworks that help senior leaders quickly understand business performance and take action; familiarity with tools such as SQL, Salesforce and Tableau is a plus but not required.
Demonstrated ability to partner closely with senior sales leaders (Director/VP+) to define strategy, build annual plans, forecast revenue, drive org design, and hold teams accountable to revenue and investment commitments.
Strong structured problemsolving skills and comfort driving decisions in ambiguous, evolving situations where goals, data, or processes are not yet fully defined.
