• Assist with pre‐trial and trial preparation, including exhibit management, deposition designations, maintaining trial exhibit logs, coordinating logistics, and attending hearings or trial as needed.
• Conduct legal research and trademark enforcement investigations, including review of USPTO filings and investigation of unauthorized common‐law trademark uses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant litigation experience within a law firm.
• Strong proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, electronic filing systems, and litigation support tools (e.g., Everchron, Case Notebook, CaseMap).

POSITION SUMMARY

As part of the Talent and Career Strategy team, the Senior Paralegal provides advanced legal support throughout all phases of complex litigation and investigations while overseeing and directing the work of junior and midlevel paralegals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Litigation, Investigation, & Case Management Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of large, complex litigation matters from inception through post-trial, including attending and supporting depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 or specialized litigation firm, with demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills appropriate for a senior-level role.
• Expert knowledge of Federal and relevant State procedural rules and electronic filing requirements, with strong familiarity with Federal and State court rules, case management systems, and e-filing databases.
• Experience drafting pleadings, and discovery requests and responses, with proficiency in legal cite-checking and Bluebook standards.
• Working knowledge of docketing applications (e.g., CompuLaw, PACER), litigation support and transcript management tools (e.g., TextMap, CaseMap, Opus2, NetDocuments), and document review/e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity).

The Opportunity

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with ostomies, wounds, and skin conditions.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of wound healing and ostomy function.
• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify potential complications and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with ostomies and wounds.
• Administer advanced wound care treatments, including dressings, debridement, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate and implement multidisciplinary care.
• Educate patients and their families on ostomy care, wound management, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Provide detailed instructions on self-care and symptom recognition to enhance patient outcomes.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to patients adjusting to life with an ostomy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to ostomy and wound care.
• Stay abreast of current research and evidence-based practices in ostomy and wound care, incorporating new knowledge into clinical practice.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license required.
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience with a focus on wound and ostomy care required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) preferred.
• Experience working in an acute care or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced wound care technologies and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of, and ability to uphold, HIPAA regulations.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach to patients facing challenging health conditions.
• Ability to implement best practices in ostomy and wound care.
• Ability to determine appropriate course of action in complex situations.
• Ability to work independently, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
• Ability to complete work assignments accurately and timely.
• Ability to professionally handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, and others.
• Ability to stay organized and flexible in a work environment with multiple assignments and changing priorities.
• Ability to use and maintain current physical, psychosocial, clinical assessment, and therapeutic communication skills to determine individual patient needs and expected outcomes.
• Punctual and dependable.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $53.64 - $68.40 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
