Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
- Licensure: Current valid state license.
- Certifications: CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Diabetic Nurse Educator (DNE) required, Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public. Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data.
- Equipment Used: Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.

About the Endoscopy-GI Clinic
The Endoscopy- GN Outpatient Clinic is located at the Center for Advanced Medicine and offers specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for a wide range of GI conditions. Staff provides advanced care for disorders affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancrease and bile ducts.
Common procedures performed include upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), radiofrequency ablation (RFA), cryotherapy, and stent placement.
These minimally invasive techniques are used to diagnose and treat conditions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, tumors, strictures, Barrett's esophagus and inflammatory bowel diseases. As an outpatient facility, this clinic is designed for patients to receive care and return home the same day, ensuring convenience and efficiency. Patients benefit from the integration of expert medical staff, state-of-the-art technology and a multidisciplinary approach to GI health.
