- Participate in all aspects of adult CT surgery patient care, excluding clinic-based duties
- Address all types of cases as required for the assignment and per client specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a tertiary/quaternary care environment
- Respond to consults, admit, and manage patients throughout their hospital course
- Take primary responsibility for timely and thorough documentation of all clinical activities
Additional Information
- Over 1 year of full-time experience as a Physician Assistant in adult cardiothoracic surgery required
- Independent inpatient management experience (not clinic-heavy or observational roles) is essential
- Active California PA license, current NCCPA certification, and DEA (schedule II-V) required

Our client in California is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 168-day assignment beginning Mar 20, 2026. This role involves comprehensive primary care within an FQHC setting, focusing on rural health, seeing patients of all ages, and managing multiple complaints per visit. The schedule for this position is Fridays from 8am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide primary care services with a focus on FQHC basics and rural health aspects.
- Manage multiple patient complaints efficiently during each visit.
- Care for patients across all age groups, including a significant adult population.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients.
- Perform essential primary care procedures.
