Summary
The Physical Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration, interpretation, and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs. Assists Rehab Manager with coordination of PT, OT, and SLP operations, including performing treatments within the professional's respective Practice Act, as prescribed by a referring physician. Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI (continuous quality improvement) activities. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Summary:
The Registered Nurse Lactation Counselor provides expert lactation support and education to breastfeeding mothers and infants, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care. This role involves providing in-person consultations, telephone follow-ups, and outpatient services to address lactation challenges, enhance breastfeeding success, and ensure mothers and infants receive optimal care. The Lactation consultant works closely with lactation counselors, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care, provide education, and ensure continuity of lactation support after discharge. The role also includes patient education, staff training, and promotion of lactation resources.
Responsibilities:

Patient Education and Counseling:
- Educate mothers and families about proper breastfeeding techniques, infant feeding cues, and the benefits of breastfeeding.

- Document all interactions, assessments, and care provided in accordance with hospital policies and patient privacy regulations.

Collaboration and Coordination of Care:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care for breastfeeding families.

- Follow up with patients to monitor progress, address any concerns, and adjust care plans as needed.
Outpatient Lactation Support:
- Provide individualized lactation support to mothers and infants through outpatient follow-up, including in-person visits and telephone consultations.
- Assess breastfeeding techniques, infant latch, milk supply, and overall breastfeeding goals.
- Address common lactation challenges, including sore nipples, low milk supply, latch issues, and breastfeeding pain, using evidence-based strategies.
- Provide guidance and support for mothers and infants experiencing more complex issues.
Training and Education for Staff:
- Assist in the training and education of hospital staff, including nurses and other healthcare providers, to ensure accurate and consistent lactation information is provided to patients.
- Promote best practices in lactation care across the hospital through in-service training and educational resources.
Program Development and Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of lactation services, ensuring they align with current evidence-based guidelines.

Core Responsibilities
1. New Business Production
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and targeted outreach
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
- Lead consultative discovery conversations with business owners and decision-makers
- Identify client needs, position solutions, and present recommendations with confidence
- Close new business and secure broker-of-record relationships
2. Sales Process Ownership
- Maintain a disciplined and accurate pipeline in
- Control follow-up, next steps, and deal progression
- Manage activity levels consistent with seat expectations
- Keep opportunities moving with urgency and professionalism
- Maintain visibility into pipeline health, forecast, and production progress
3. Market Development
- Represent Zinn Insurance professionally in the market
- Build relationships with qualified prospects, referral sources, and business communities
- Position Zinn as a strategic partner rather than a commodity vendor
- Compete on credibility, responsiveness, insight, and execution
4. Performance Accountability
- Meet defined expectations for activity, pipeline growth, and revenue production
- Achieve validated producer status within 12 months
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, urgency, and follow-through
- Operate with consistency, coachability, and competitive drive
