The Department of Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time clinical faculty and Hospital Epidemiology position (Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor) for our Duarte, California Campus. This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 450+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in Southern California. · The majority of your time will be dedicated to Hospital Epidemiology, as the lead Hospital Medical Epidemiologist with your remaining time divided between inpatient and outpatient clinical service

• Clinical time is divided between inpatient and outpatient services

• Contributions to Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Control efforts at Duarte

o BASE salary range: $210k - $256k *The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits . Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications

· Active or eligible for California medical licens

· ABIM board certification in Infectious Diseases

· Strong communication skills

· Experienced in leading policy and protocol development and implementation for hospital epidemiology and infection prevention and control with a special focus on cancer patients.

· Experience in transplant infectious disease - program that is heavily focused toward immunocompromised host infections (hematologic malignancy/ HCT)

· 1-2 years working within hematologic malignancies *preferred but not required

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Three years of experience as a caregiver/home health aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver's license and insured automobile
