Under close supervision, the employee will learn to perform routine aspects of estimating assignments to acquire the basic principles of estimating. Sections of a total project estimate will be delegated to the employee to prepare estimated quantities and costs. This position will usually specialize in a particular discipline (Mechanical, Structural, Electrical or Architectural). Request for costs will be sent to vendors or subcontractors in the local area where construction will be done, and the results will be analyzed and verified with historical data and research.

Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator
Job Summary
The Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of our Driver Operational Policy as well as the daily monitoring and implementation of our vehicle telematics and dashcam programs.
The Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator will play a key role in moving safety and compliance efforts forward for our commercial and passenger fleets. This position reports to and works closely with the Senior Transportation Manager. Additionally, will collaborate daily with other employees in the department, and throughout operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for the daily administration of our Driver Operational Policy. Duties in this area include reading and interpreting daily reports that measure driver performance in areas including:
- CSA data from roadside inspections
- Crash data
- Telematics data from our partner ELD-provider Platform Science
- Overweight citations
- Hours-of-service violations
- MVR dataMonitors dashcam data for Austin's commercial and passenger fleets and other vehicles as assigned.
- Maintains policy-based point system using agreed upon metrics.
- Works with APC field managers to ensure proper coaching and follow-up is completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Interface with Human Resources to ensure proper administration of policy is executed as necessary.
- Coordinate service and installation of telematics equipment and dash cams in Austin Powder vehicles with goal of 100% operational equipment.
- Assists drivers and managers in working with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Assists and provides data for accident/incident investigations and resolution of transportation-related claims as required.
- Assists with employee training initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the company's corporate transportation objectives.

Project Controls Lead
Position Summary
The Project Controls Lead works closely with project managers and other stakeholders to establish project budgets, timelines, and resource requirements. They also monitor project progress and performance and makes adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track and within budget. This position supports the Project Engineering team with a focus on Cost Control, Earned Value Management, Budgets, Estimating, Change Management, Risk Management, Planning, Scheduling, Forecasting, Reporting Progress and Performance, and Project Funding.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Friday 8am -5pm (Onsite 4 days a week) Summary Statement: Working with a diverse team, you will lead the technical design of complex components that support our business critical applications, while mentoring other developers on best practices in an effort to deliver our next generation of innovative solutions to our customers What You Will Be Doing: As a Software Engineer II, you will be leading the effort to develop, enhance, and support applications in a fast-paced development environment; while working with senior members of the staff on medium to large sized projects in a diverse range of topics to produce deliverables.
You will be maintaining and modernizing our existing systems as well as working on new applications.
Working in our collaborative environment you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills while also acting as a mentor and guide a team of software engineers on development best practices and ensure code quality through code reviews.
Penske Responsibilities: • Be the primary contact and lead support associate for one or more critical applications and processes, resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
• Play a critical role in supporting the application lifecycle (develop, test, release and support) based on detailed requirements and guidance from senior engineers/architects and management.
• Collaborate with technical/business leaders and product owners to acquire and understand requirements / acceptance criteria.
• Produce deliverables for medium to large sized projects with clean, well-documented and easily maintainable code that adheres to defined coding standards.
• Participate in Design and Deploy reviews and gain buy in from cross-functional teams including QA, Architect, Security, Webmaster and Operations.
• Effectively document systems, software architecture and processes, including application documentation, dependency diagrams, etc.
• Write unit / UI tests to identify defects and leverage CI/CD for building and deploying code.
• Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis • Lead the backend database Structure relationships.
• Assign projects and review deliverables from onshore and offshore software engineers.
• Provide constructive input to department management regarding team members assigned to project • Participate in the hiring process to assist in assessing candidate technical skills and independently conduct new hire interviews.
• Other projects as assigned Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent years of software development experience • 8-10 years experience of appropriate programming languages (Java, .Net, SQL etc...) • Strong SQL Query development • MOCA and Groovy development for the Blue Yonder WMS team.
• 1-2 years of experience working with Agile teams • Knowledge of technical project management • In-depth knowledge of appropriate design frameworks and patterns and experience in implementing them in software development.
• Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices.
• Expert knowledge of the full system development lifecycle.
• Ability to independently conduct new hire interviews • Ability to work independently and direct work to other team members.
• Expert knowledge of relational database design and implementation.
• Ability to estimate and lead medium to large sized projects.
• Ability to research emerging software development frameworks and tools • Strong problem solving and analytic skill.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environment • Solid written and oral communication skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language • Experience in DevOps Tools and automation • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Requirements:
