Veterinary Surgery Technician
 Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) proudly opened its new, state-of-the-art facility in May 2024—an expansive, 100,000+ square foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. This milestone marks the continuation of over 40 years of dedicated service to our community. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. Thoughtful amenities—including feline-only waiting areas, a rehab unit, comfort rooms, and a serene zen garden—reflect our commitment to exceptional care for pets and their families.

We are seeking a Surgery Technician who is friendly, able to work independently, communicates well, and stays organized. This role involves helping with a variety of daily tasks and working closely with all departments in the hospital. Location:

Position Overview:
The Surgery Technician supports surgeons and the related patient care of surgical cases. The surgery team is a dynamic group within an ER and Specialty Hospital that has a busy caseload of elective and emergency procedures. The Surgery Technician assists with various surgeries including soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and other advanced surgeries.

Compensation:
  • Credentialed Technicians: $28- $33/hr. based on experience
  • Non-Credentialed Technicians: $25- $30/hr. based on experience
The final compensation offer will be based on the qualified candidate’s experience and ability to make an impact coming into the role.
Anticipated Schedule:

Patient Care
  • Basic animal care

  • Administration and knowledge of analgesic and anesthetic therapy to include opiates, non-steroidal medication, and inhalation anesthesia

  • Knowledge of thoracoscopy and arthroscopy equipment and procedure
  • Basic instrument/pack preparation and knowledge of steam/gas sterilization
  • Preparation of lab samples
  • Maintain a legal record of significant events and enhance recognition of trends in monitored variables
  • Record all drugs administered to patient, noting the dose, time, and route of administration
  • Record monitored variables on a regular basis (every 5 minutes) during anesthesia
  • Computer input into a patient’s file
Equipment care
  • Inspect the anesthesia machine, endotracheal tubes, and other anesthesia equipment before and after use assuring that the anesthetic machine and equipment are in proper working order
  • Equipment troubleshooting: IV pumps, surgivet, Doppler, anesthesia machine, pulse ox
Communications
  • Excellent communication skills with coworkers and with clients
  • Plan procedures with other departments
  • Train new hires, interns and externs
Hospital maintenance
  • Make sure the hospital is ready for the next shift/day (clean/stock)
  • Complete any task listed by the supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working as a nursing team member in a surgery department or with heavy surgical responsibilities is required..
  • Prior experience with anesthesia techniques and protocols is required.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus! 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)

Job Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive raw material and supplies.

Process material requisitions.

Slot material in storage locations.

Stage raw material in production locations and in the production room.

Move finished goods from production floor to slot location until QA completes quality testing and releases products for shipping.

Perform cycle count to confirm accuracy of the raw materials and finished goods.

About the Role

I’m hiring a Front Desk Medical Coordinator for a well-established orthopedic spine specialty practice in Central New Jersey. This is a fully onsite, patient-facing role based primarily in Shrewsbury, with occasional support at a satellite office in Toms River (approximately three times per month). The locations are within reasonable driving distance of communities such as Wall Township, Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head, and Spring Lake.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role serves as the operational hub of the practice and the first point of contact for patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Opening and closing the office and supporting daily front desk operations
  • Welcoming patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and empathy
  • Scheduling appointments efficiently to support provider workflows and patient satisfaction
  • Registering patients accurately and maintaining up-to-date demographic and account information
  • Collecting patient payments and verifying financial details as needed
  • Communicating patient arrival status to clinical staff and helping manage patient flow
  • Assisting patients by answering questions and easing concerns during check-in
  • Managing incoming and outgoing faxes and maintaining organized medical records
  • Monitoring office supplies and coordinating replenishment before shortages occur
  • Supporting providers at a nearby satellite office several times per month
  • Following all HIPAA and OSHA standards and handling sensitive information with discretion
  • Performing additional administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least two years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Comfort working with electronic health records and practice management systems
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, courteous phone presence
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment (fax, copier, scanner)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams in a Windows environment

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience in orthopedics, spine, or another surgical specialty
  • Spanish language fluency
