Summary

Provides diagnostic quality radiologic imaging under the direction of a Physician while maintaining proper radiation protection standards. Follows the guidelines for radiation safety while imaging gently. Delivers a high level of patient care and customer service to promote patient satisfaction. Job Duties
  • Produces images of diagnostic quality, processes, and prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Uses appropriate exposure factors, collimation, and proper distance with documentation. Assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her own safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensures appropriate exam is ordered for number of images provided and attached to the correct patient folder.
  • Confirms levels of supplies and equipment to meet requirements for patient care and/or specific departments.
  • Documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, number of images, appropriate history and all other required documentation.
  • Ensures coordination of daily work duties within the team and coordinates timing of exams.
  • Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study is complete.
  • Confirms physician orders are complete and includes signature, ordered study, reason for test (diagnosis/CPT codes) and obtains missing information prior to treatment.
  • Reports equipment malfunction and the need for adjustment and/or repairs.
  • Assists in the education and training of new employees, students, and other ancillary personnel.
  • Assumes responsibility for cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area and maintains orderliness.

  • Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, professional, and experienced with trackhoe operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies
  • Create a safe worksite
  • Maintain equipment (Q326, LT105, Pickup)
  • Crush up site material using Q326 trackhoe and LT105 portable crusher
  • Identify site needs and develop plan to complete job efficiently
  • Work with team members
  • Clean, pack up, and help transport equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Extensive trackhoe operations experience
  • Experience with equipment maintenance
  • Proficient written communication
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Safety-focused
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
  • Experience with loader operations
  • Experience with Q329 caterpillar trackhoe and LT105 portable crusher
  • OSHA, MSHA, or other safety certifications

Physical Demands

  • Regularly sitting for long periods, possibly bouncing in equipment
  • Specific vision abilities including distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions
