As the Fiber Splicer-Outside Plant Construction in Helena, MT, you will be responsible for the placement of enclosures, splicing, testing, and documentation of outside plant fiber optic facilities with relation to Outside Plant (OSP) Construction projects. You will operate the fiber fusion splicer, OTDR, and optical light testers to ensure adherence to TDS fiber splicing standards while ensuring accuracy and timely documentation of the final product for project closing. In this role, you will complete fiber splicing for projects while coordinating with OSP construction, OSP construction contractors, and internal construction teams, ensuring project timelines are met with relation to new network turnup activities.

 

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus! (Payout terms apply)

What You'll Do:

  • Install fiber enclosures and perform fusion splicing, OTDR, and light‑level testing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair buried and aerial fiber.
  • Identify cable faults and complete acceptance testing.
  • Document work, update as‑builts/redlines, and support project closeout.
  • Read construction plans and coordinate daily tasks with OSP teams and contractors.
  • Maintain equipment, complete paperwork, and assist Field Services as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform operation of fiber optic fusion splicer, OTDR, and light level testing equipment to facilitate splicing and light level quality according to TDS standards.
    • Performs beginner to intermediate operation of all test equipment associated with fiber optic plant facilities splicing, testing, and documentation.
    • Installs fiber enclosures and optical tap cases; splices, troubleshoots, tests, repairs, and documents all fiber as part of OSP construction projects.
    • Identifies the location of defective cable and fusion splices using various test equipment.
    • Repairs buried and aerial fiber optic cables.
    • Performs cable fault acceptance tests on newly constructed facilities.
    • Completes all testing documentation and returns as part of project closing requirements.
  • Receives maps and staking sheets for full construction project and ensures project is spliced, tested, and documented with guidance from team mentors or leadership.
    • Communicates updates to the project team as required.
    • Takes direction on daily and weekly project work based on deadlines, material and equipment availability, weather, and other factors.
    • Coordinates with supervisor to ensure continual supply of work and availability of materials.
    • Drafts and submits redlines and splice documentation upon completion of project.
    • Sets splice enclosures and splice cases according to design, splices fiber, tests, and documents all project fiber locations as part of daily activity.
    • Regularly engages with Network Services OSP construction teams, OSP construction contractors and internal construction teams to align with daily tasks.
    • Reads construction plans and determines best approach for completing fiber splicing work.
    • Maintains all project documentation including completion of weekly as built records and daily production reports with support from.
    • Ensures DOT inspections are performed on equipment where required.
    • Works with project managers, OSP construction contractors, and internal construction teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Services, cleans, maintains, and repairs equipment.
  • Completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Provides assistance to Field Services technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of telecommunications inside or outside plant experience working with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing experience -OR- 1+ year of telecommunications inside or outside plant experience working with copper or coax installation, splicing, and testing -OR- current military service or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs, including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

  • Understanding of telecommunication products and services with relation to fiber optic technology.
  • Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed.
  • Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
  • Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.
  • Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check administered by the customer.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed. May be required to work various/swing shifts as business needs dictate.
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with manual transmissions.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for a Performance Creative Producer to join our team and play a critical role in the growth of EVERGOODS through performance marketing. This position is responsible for producing high-performing advertising creative across paid acquisition channels including Meta, YouTube, and Google. This role will take campaign media and raw footage and transform it into compelling video and static ads designed to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.


This is a hands-on role for a highly creative and analytically minded individual who understands both creative storytelling and performance marketing metrics. The ideal candidate can rapidly produce ad creative, iterate based on performance data, and collaborate closely with the Growth team to continuously improve creative performance.


This individual will partner closely with the Head of Growth, Paid Marketing Manager, and Brand Manager to generate, test, and optimize creative concepts across paid channels.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of creative production, experimentation, and data-driven marketing.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Ad Creative Production

  • Produce video and static ad creative for paid channels including Meta, YouTube, and Google.
  • Edit campaign footage and raw media into compelling ad formats optimized for performance marketing.
  • Develop multiple creative variations from existing media to support testing and iteration.
  • Design and produce static ad graphics and visual assets for paid channels.
  • Package creative assets according to platform specifications and ad format requirements.


Performance Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and messaging priorities.

  • Iterate and improve ads based on campaign performance metrics and audience feedback.
  • Continuously refresh creative to combat ad fatigue and maintain strong campaign performance.


Industry Trend Monitoring

  • Stay closely attuned to emerging trends in DTC performance marketing, ad creative formats, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Monitor creative strategies used within the everyday carry, outdoor, and premium product industries to inform new ideas and testing opportunities.
  • Maintain a curiosity about evolving consumer behavior and digital media trends to ensure EVERGOODS creative remains modern, relevant, and competitive. This includes tracking and understanding emerging paid marketing channels for future use.


Product Knowledge & Brand Storytelling

  • Develop deep familiarity with EVERGOODS products including design intent, key features, materials, and functional advantages.
  • Partner with the Product team to understand design decisions and technical details that differentiate EVERGOODS products.
  • Translate product features and design philosophies into compelling creative narratives that resonate with customers.
  • Identify the most compelling product attributes and build creative assets that highlight those features across video, static, and short-form formats.
  • Work with Marketing leadership to maintain a strong understanding of the EVERGOODS community and ensure creative reflects the values, interests, and expectations of the brand’s audience.


Special Projects

  • As the business grows and changes, the role may be assigned special projects as needed.
  • On occasion and as business needs require, produce creative assets that support organic social, ecommerce, and other internal marketing initiatives outside of paid advertising campaigns.


RELEVANT SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business or related degrees
  • 2–4 years of experience producing performance marketing creative or paid social advertising assets
  • Strong video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Google Workspace tools (Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
  • Strong graphic design skills for static ad production using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Experience producing short-form video content for paid channels including Meta, YouTube, and TikTok

Description Summary:

The Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the company’s heavy civil estimating strategy, execution, and team development across all offices. This role will oversee a group of estimators operating from a centralized estimating location and will support bids for projects throughout the company’s footprint.


This position is a key leadership role in expanding the company’s heavy civil capabilities into new and existing markets including dams and water resource infrastructure, mass grading, mining support infrastructure, underground utilities, pipelines, and large-scale site development. The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator will produce accurate, complete, and competitive estimates and will build repeatable estimating systems that drive profitable growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Civil Estimator:

  • Lead and manage a team of estimators responsible for heavy civil bids across all offices.
  • Assign estimating responsibilities, coordinate workloads, and ensure bid schedules are met.
  • Develop and mentor estimating staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Establish clear estimating workflows, standards, review processes, and deliverables.
  • Lead preparation of competitive and complete estimates for heavy civil and large development pursuits.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, labor and equipment productions, and bid-leveling.
  • Develop pricing strategies and collaborate with leadership to determine bid markups, general conditions, contingency, and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate bid reviews and executive-level presentations prior to submission.
  • Support expansion into new heavy civil markets and project types including:
  • Dams / levees / water infrastructure
  • Mass grading / earthwork
  • Mining and mine infrastructure

  • Ensure the bid complies with owner requirements, bid forms, and proposal instructions.
  • Solicit subcontractor pricing and scope input for specialty work (dewatering, drilling, blasting, shoring, etc.).
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotes for completeness and accuracy; manage bid leveling and scope alignment.
  • Assist in development of strategic partnerships for emerging markets and scopes.
  • Maintain and improve a heavy civil cost database including labor, equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractor benchmarks.
  • Track estimate performance and contribute to lessons learned based on job cost results and field feedback.
  • Coordinate with operations, project management, and field leadership to validate means/methods and production assumptions.
  • Participate in turnover meetings and support transition from bid to execution.
  • Assist operations in early project planning, budgeting, and buyout strategy as needed.
