Job Description Summary:
$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS (Full-time) or $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS (Part-time)External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment for a full-time or part-time position. OhioHealth currently has CT Technologist openings at various locations across the organization on varying shifts. The applicant's location of interest will be discussed during the initial screening process. Depending on the location, there could be a call requirement for the position.
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The position is responsible for explaining procedures to the patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties performed per approved protocol.

Obtains patient clinical history for procedure.Reviews lab values and screens patient for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media.
Administers oral and IV contrast media
Operates CT scanners for variety of procedures.

Job Description Summary:
This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Responsibilities And Duties:
40%Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

Obtains diagnostic radiographs -- Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

Prepares patients for examination -- Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

Arrhythmia (EP) Specific:
The EP Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive and invasive procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, arrhythmia monitoring, cardio structures, anatomy of the heart chambers, and sterile technique.
Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific:
The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound.

The Senior Technologist must meet all requirements of the procedural job code: knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, sterile technique and knowledgeable of all inventory items and equipment in the department.
Requirements:
1. The Senior Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be an active, effective preceptor for new associates and students.
2. Competent to scrub and circulate all coronary cases including complex PCI and brachytherapy; Ventricular assist devices (IABP, IMPELLA and ECMO); all peripheral vascular cases including venous procedures (IVC reconstruction) and all Structural Heart Procedures including aortic and mitral valves and ASD/PFO. Must rotate through all labs including the HVL at least twice a month.
3. Competent to float to Arrythmia Services and Hybrid Lab to assist with procedures.
4. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE
5. 1-3 years' experience in hospital CVL department

Med-surg level of care, with a strong focus on the surgical patient population. Qualifications: Education/Experience: Strong recent experience background in a medical office preferred 3 courses or 9 months of experience in records management.
1 course or 3 months of experience in medical terminology.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel .
Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience preferred — training provided.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: Familiarity with JCAH and Medicare/Medicaid regulations regarding medical record keeping.
Work Environment: On-site role at a correctional facility.
Work collaboratively with a team of six other staff members in a structured, professional environment.
Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Perform department tasks, including one or more of the following:
Perform most functions of an Optical Technician (Level 1)
Inventory control functions including assisting with stocking lens shelves, sorting and distributing trays, pulling semi-finished or finished lenses, and performing cosmetic inspection and restock
Lens stocking including print and tray up jobs off the combob, pull lenses & transcribe digital jobs through the lab management system, stage work in designated areas, and assist with lens stocking and inventory
Operates the automatic taper
Tints edged and uncut lenses
Expeditor functions, including flagging work to move
Pre-shipping wash-up functions, including providing needed masks/cloths as needed
Assist in efficiently moving work through the department
Maintain company safety standards
Maintain a clean workstation
Assist and cooperate with other departments
Ensure understanding and adherence to quality management and safety requirements, systems, and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
One to two years of manufacturing, production, or optical tech experience
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the functions of an Optical Technician (Level 1)
Must be able to work any shift, time, and day
Ability to meet department standards for productivity and quality
Ability to communicate at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, and pulling/pushing
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
