Summary:
Responsible for the proper maintenance and sanitization of all silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators and cream tanks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Manually disassembles and cleans samplers, activators and valves.
- Checks and replaces worn gaskets and o-rings.
- Replaces QMI samplers when needed, not less than once per week.
- Ensures silo's are inspected and initialed before reassembling. Check titrations document.
- Empties and washes silos every 72 hours.
- Cleans whey separators with a wash daily.
- Assures whey and cream samples are at the laboratory as scheduled every two hours.
- Cleans all milk, cream, whey, and blend lines at the end of each day.
- Checks with Supervisor for silo rotation for pasteurization.
- Maintains tank room ensuring cleanliness. Hoses rolled up, sanitizes pipes and ports capped.

What You’ll Be Doing

Summary: Ensures the department is running in a safe, productive manner. Focuses on production, quality and people. Identifies, investigates and works to solve problems that arise. Works closely with department employees and reports any issues to the Ricotta Manager and/or Associate Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.\tAnalyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and how these results positive or negatively affect department performance.2.\tMonitors floor activities in department. 3.\tMonitors punches and ensure there is sufficient personnel including any temporary hours. 4.\tComplete all records and charts as required. 5.\tPerforms administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner. (Phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meeting presentations.)6.\tMeets regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation 7.\tSupervisor to stay informed about all issues arising in the department.8.\tWorks with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP and QC policies and procedures 9.\tActively work on production floor to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments. 10.\tOperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals. 11.\tSuggest and debate alternative methods and procedures in solving issues that arise. 12.\tIdentifies strengths and/or weaknesses of the employees and demonstrate the ability to train and coach to strengthen weaknesses and utilize strengths. 13.\tCollects and provides any data necessary for budget creation and implementation.14.\tParticipates in operating budget, goals, and objectives of the department and works toward meeting and/or exceeding these expectations.15.\tDepartment employee meetings conducted on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.16.\tResponsible for hiring and scheduling required within the department, including temporary staff if necessary.17.\tMaintains open communication with all employees including department managers.18.\tImplement special projects and procedures as directed.19.\tMaintains departmental sanitation and safety operations. Enforces all GMP's, Quality, OSHA, and AIB specifications. 20.\tMaintains employee files including payroll, attendance record, vacation, tardiness, disciplinary review, and annual performance reviews.21.\tFind cost savings within the department's daily parameters.22.\tWorks close with maintenance on a variety of issues related to equipment, department maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.23.\tAware of and practice Plant's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).
Requirements
Qualifications:
*\t2-3 years of experience in packaging/manufacturing setting preferred.
*\tPrevious food manufacturing experience preferred.
*\tAbility to perform a multitude of tasks.
*\tKnowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
Education and/or Experience:
*\tHigh School Diploma/GED required.
*\tAssociate's degree in business administration or dairy science preferred.

Must communicate any issues in real time and ensure the proper steps are taken to address the situation. During any emergency situation the Guard Building is the hub for communication and management of unwanted events. Keeping confidentiality of the department's activities is the utmost importance and must always be adhered to. Must be alert at all times, monitoring surveillance, parking lots, entrance ways and flow of people traffic. The accurate scaling of incoming milk is a top priority as it is our number one resource.From your EXPERTISE to ours:Key responsibilities for this position include:* Communicate with security Supervisor, or other staff to resolve problems.* Ensures incoming milk loads are processed accurately following all protocols in place and reports and issues to supervisor.* Adhere to visitor entry log, do not allow visitors in unless they are on the log, the only exception is unannounced regulatory entities. * When asked by management, be able to look up license plate and or tag numbers in order to correct parking violators of safety and security.* Accurately reads meters as required and enters the data in the proper spreadsheet.* Follow crisis management procedure based on the different unwanted events.* Patrol site to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.* Ensures all facilities, grounds and parking lots are properly lit, reports any areas not in compliance.* Evict trespassers, rude violators, or other security threats from the premise.* Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.* Monitor access and flow of inbound and outbound vehicles to prevent unsafe conditions related to traffic.* Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.* Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours. * Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or by obtaining assistance from paramedics.* Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.* Extended or off work hours may be required.
