JOB TITLE: Assistant Restaurant Manager

REPORTS TO: General Manager
SUPERVISES DIRECTLY: All Restaurant Staff
PAY START: $56,500 commensurate with experience

POSITION SUMMARY: To ensure that the entire front of house staff and restaurant/pub operations run smoothly and efficiently while exceeding guests’ expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Overseeing daily restaurant operations, including managing staff and ensuring high-quality customer service
· Hiring, training, and scheduling employees to ensure adequate coverage and optimal team performance
· Managing inventory and ordering supplies
· Help to control all costs (beverage, food and labor)
· Role model and hold Team Members accountable to operational and quality standards
· Understand and practice safe food handling procedures ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
· Consistent and timely communication/correspondence with guests, staff, and leadership
· Participate in management meetings

ResponsibilitiesAs an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:
- Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including:
- Pruning
- Cabling and bracing
- Rigging
- Removals
- Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)

Position Overview:
As a driver for Good News Garage, your responsibilities include transporting eligible \"Ready to Go\" clients in an Ascentria fleet vehicle safely, courteously, and punctually according to schedule. It is essential to understand and correctly use child safety seats. The Student Engagement Specialist is primarily responsible to ensure that employees of our existing healthcare and healthcare adjacent partners are aware of our programs, provides insight and motivation for those employees to enroll in our programs, and works with our account management teams to ensure we are cohesively providing the highest level of service and support to those employees. The Student Engagement Specialist produces workforce solutions leads (employees and other related students) for Covista programs which are primarily produced by having meaningful conversations and recording information from prospective students (the employees of our partners). The Student Engagement Specialist accurately and faithfully communicating Covista capabilities, mission, and focus to prospective students, ensures that we honor our relationships with our partners and that we deliver world-class service to their employees. While primary focused on growing qualifying student leads, the Student Engagement Specialist will also work to ensure new and expanded sources of leads from our partner institutions which may be serviced and nurtured by the team.
This role is location specific and requires the candidate to be based in Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Vermont.
Responsibilities
- Engages directly with employees of healthcare and healthcare adjacent partners to ensure those employees have the information, context and motivation to seek enrollment at Covista institutions; works to identify alumni at our partner institutions that can serve as reference and connects them to prospective students.
- Works with Account Management team to strategically select, source and schedule onsite events at partner institutions; expected to be "in the field" 3-4 days per week.

- Attends tradeshows and industry events where employee enrollment is a core focus.

Support managing human resource initiatives, employee relations, and HR administration for over 100 staff, primarily in manufacturing roles.
Lead recruitment and onboarding of hourly employees in collaboration with company leaders and the Talent Acquisition team.
Responsibilities: Use independent judgment to execute daily work requirements.
Deliver strategic human resource initiatives that support business objectives.
Collaborate with local, regional, and corporate HR teams to achieve plant objectives.
Manage the selection process, including interview logistics, maintaining compliant applicant records, conducting orientation and new hire processes, and compliance training.
Partner with HR Manager in conducting investigations and making corrective action recommendations.
Assist plant leadership in performance management and employee development.
Log and track performance and all other employee discipline for the plant.
Maintain employee personnel and all other HR-related files.
Ensure legal and compliance information postings are met.
Manage attendance program in partnership with on-site managers and supervisors.
Responsible for all local payroll processes.
Recommend ideas and solutions to effectively address organizational needs.
Analyze training needs and implement training delivery with plant management.
Educate leaders to ensure consistent application of policies while promoting positive employee relations.
Partner with EHS and plant leadership on daily application of leave of absence policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Ensure compliance with EEOC, FMLA, Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Harassment, and other legal/policy issues.
Requirements: Undergraduate degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of experience in a Human Resources Specialist or Generalist role, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to lead and drive change in a manufacturing environment.
