Fort Worth ENT is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and growing private practice. We are a well-established, single-specialty ENT group located in Fort Worth, Texas, currently comprised of three board-certified otolaryngologists and four experienced PAs. Our practice also includes on-site audiology and allergy clinic, offering patients comprehensive ENT care in one location.
This is a primarily outpatient position with occasional opportunities to assist in head and neck surgeries.
Position Highlights:
- See your own schedule of 25?30 patients per day in a busy outpatient clinic.
- First assist in head and neck surgery cases approximately once a week, alternating with fellow PAs.
- Phone-only nurse call coverage one week every 5?6 weeks.
- Provide care for both adult and pediatric patients across a wide spectrum of ENT conditions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed histories and head & neck physical exams.
- Provide acute and chronic care management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide post-operative care, ensuring continuity and optimal recovery for surgical patients.
- Formulate differential diagnoses and create individualized patient education plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with Texas PA regulations.
- Complete timely, thorough documentation in the EHR system.
- Make appropriate referrals to specialists or ancillary services.
- Participate in collaborative patient care with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality.

Summary
Performs highly complex planning and research work. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Assists in the execution of all planning functions for the Workforce Board. Identifies gaps in services and secures appropriate revenue. Assists with policy development; conducts planning, research, and labor market analysis; supports identification of the Board’s annual Target Occupations List; prepares reports; delivers community presentations; assists with grant writing; and collaborates on documents for agency partners, under the direct supervision of the Planning Director.
Assists in the development of the bi-annual comprehensive workforce development plan; planning for all programs; tracking external environments impacting local systems; and developing policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of the annual and long-term strategic and program planning processes, including input from management, internal subject matter experts, and the Workforce Development Board and Committees.
- Identifies appropriate competitive sources of revenue and assists in the development of grant applications by the Board. Tracks submission of reports required by the funding entity.
- Manages the process of providing letters of support for community organizations upon their request, including developing the letters, obtaining management approval, and tracking requests and responses.
- Assists in analyzing labor market information, including the Boards annual Target Occupations List, for the Board and workforce stakeholders. Provides input on the potential of specific occupational or skills training to result in placement and living wage outcomes.
- Develops Scope of Work statements for the purpose of procurement of services and ensures document completion.
- Assists in the implementation and ongoing measurement, evaluation, adjustment and improvement cycle of establishing sector strategies, apprenticeships and pathways initiatives in the Workforce Centers.
- Supports management in Board or Committee presentations through research, analysis, and development of presentation material.
- Assists in Board Program Policy development and maintains policy repository. Assists program administration, Human Resources, Equal Opportunity Officer and 504 Coordinator to develop policies as needed.
- Stays current with emerging workforce trends, state policy, and national directions and communicates them to internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Delivers presentations to community partners to support workforce initiatives, disseminates labor market insights, and advances the Board’s strategic priorities.
- Tracks state and national legislation and local initiatives. Advises on policy decisions, strategic priorities and legislative updates.
- Reviews and maintains a working knowledge of workforce development law, regulations and policy at the federal, state and local levels.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Health Services
1. Provide basic first aid and care for minor injuries and illness according to a detailed protocol established by the school nurse (RN) or medical advisor.
2. Administer medication to students according to board policy and district procedures and maintain accurate log of medications dispensed.
3. Assist with screening programs, take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure), and accurately document results as proscribed by district, state, and federal requirements. Communicate findings to supervising school health staff for direction.
4. Escort students to and from health room and assist students with disabilities as necessary.
5. Contact parents of students who need to be picked up from school according to established school health services protocols or as directed by the school nurse (RN).
6. Contact emergency medical services (EMS) according to established school health services protocols or as directed by the school nurse (RN).
Safety
7. Maintain an efficient and safe clinic including following infection control procedures as directed by the school nurse (RN). Use Universal Precautions Procedures when cleaning all body spills and providing wound care.
Clerical
8. Prepare, compile, maintain, and file all correspondence, reports, records, and other documents required, including accurate and confidential student health records.
9. Maintain a daily log of health office activities, including reportable accidents, communicable disease data, and referrals to school nurse (RN).
10. Maintain clinic supply inventory and request supplies as needed.
Compliance
11. Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, Texas Department of Health rule, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
12. Maintain confidentiality.
