OVERVIEW

The Legal Practice Assistant, working under the supervision of the Washington, DC Director of Assistant Development & Support, will take direction from and operate in support of several lawyers in the performance of a variety of administrative duties as assigned. The Legal Practice Assistant is a non‐exempt position. The hours are 8:45-5:15 PM, Monday ‐ Friday and additional hours as required.

REQUIRED JOB FUNCTIONS

The Legal Practice Assistant must be proficient in the following:

  • Receive assignments from partners, associates, and lawyers and perform tasks as requested; update requestor regarding receipt and status of tasks/projects, and consistently meet agreed upon deadlines.
  • Input attorney time into the Web Time time-entry program. Educate timekeepers about appropriate time entry requirements and standards.
  • Work with the Billing department in all aspects of the billing cycle, including but not limited to the review of client billing for accuracy, edits to content/grammar; resolution of billing problems; and efficient changes to the process.
  • Prepare attorney expense reimbursements and process client-related vendor invoices for payment.
  • Sort, open, prioritize and route incoming mail. Prepare outgoing mail including U.S.P.S., U.P.S. and Federal Express. Coordinate messenger pick-ups and deliveries when necessary.
  • Coordinate attorneys' firm and client-related meeting set-ups, including but not limited to conference calls, zoom meetings and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain calendar and contacts for attorneys. Maintain electronic filing system via Outlook.
  • Perform document conversions, e.g., PDF to Word, etc.
  • Handle telephone calls from internal and external sources including taking accurate messages and appropriately routing calls.
  • Coordinate prints, scans and duplicating projects with Digital Document Center or Print/Mail Centers.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements (air, hotel, rail, car rental and black car) with firm-provided travel agency.
  • Coordinate the New Matter Intake process. Initiate Conflicts Checks. Prepare, finalize, and distribute new client Engagement Letters, New Business Memo, etc. Follow-up with client to ensure receipt of fully executed Engagement Letter.

We are seeking an Associate or Special Counsel (off-track) to join a health law practice focused on managed care and pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) matters. This role supports clients across the health care and pharmaceutical supply chain, including health plans, payors, PBMs, and related service providers, with a strong emphasis on complex commercial contracting.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of PBM-related and managed care commercial agreements, including:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Planning and Execution- Deliverplans and achieve sales goals on budget.


  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans tailored to key accounts and align with national objectives/local market dynamics.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities within IDNs and large health systems to maximize biosimilar uptake.
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to improve the positioning of Celltrion USA products at a local level.


Stakeholder Engagement


  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including formulary committees, pharmacy directors and clinical leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing) to deliver cohesive value propositions.


Collaborate with Market Access & Contracting


  • With Market Access, engage in negotiations and manage contracts within key accounts to ensure favorable terms that support adoption
  • Monitor and address reimbursement challenges working closely with internal teams
  • Engage HCPs in dialogue about approved indications, product efficacy/safety profiles, and treatment protocols to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.


Data Analysis and Reporting


  • Analyze trends, competitive landscape and account performance
  • Provide regular reports on key account metrics
  • Collaborate with field salesforce as needed for pull-through



WORK EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Pharma-Commercial, pre-launch launch, and post-launch of products.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Extensive knowledge and experience in biologics, biosimilars, and the full life cycle of product launch and post-launch.
  • Solid business acumen, including the ability to access and interpret company provided territory data to incorporate into call planning and execution.
  • Both a team player and individual contributor.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly by directing the team effectively.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time



EDUCATION


  • Bachelor’s Degree required in business or related field; advanced degrees, MBA, MS in business or related field is a plus.

Performs various lab procedures when necessary and in accordance with competency.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the physician, performs basic patient care duties including, but not limited to, obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens [including phlebotomy (specific to site).

Assists provider(s) in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures.

Assist with patient flow through the clinic.

Answers phone/records phone messages and assists provider(s) with patient related calls.
