The Role We Want You For

As a Project Cost Engineer, you will assist in the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will be working directly with the project management team to manage the project budget, costs, change orders, pricing requests, billings, and forecasts. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining reports that provide information to different groups, work with the management team to identify variances, risks and maintain quality control processes to improve project cost procedures and ensuring conformity with management's strategy.

The Specifics of the Role

• Works with all project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.
• Review project documents and specifications to accurately identify, develop and track request of change orders (owner and subcontractor related), baseline estimates, potential risk exposures while communicating potential impacts to the financial targets, schedule, and overall project management process.
• Works closely with the accounting department to ensure the correct integration of all information needed to ensure accuracy in billings, payment applications, change orders, direct cost, labor cost, etc.
• Works closely with the project management team, executive management personnel, subcontractors, as well as occasional contact with clients.
• Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for proposal estimating activities which require a moderate degree of technical skill and experience.
• Ensuring quality, accuracy, consistency, spend profile, performing change management, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
• Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the cost and forecast reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related degree.
• 0-3 years of Project Cost experience.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices is required.
• Working knowledge of applicable computer software such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software programs.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Results oriented and deliver on customer commitments.

The Project Controls Coordinator is required to establish and maintain a control database following the Project Baseline. Responsibilities/Duties: Establish project specific budgets and work break down structure (WBS). Develop the projects controls database using our proprietary software. Establish and assign activity codes to the work elements and track project cost and progress by charge code. Create a comprehensive, properly linked CPM schedule. Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure that the project maintains a positive cash flow. Implement and maintain the Change Management Procedure for change orders, trending and forecasting Issues weekly and monthly progress and cost reports. Tracking and maintaining historical data. Perform database downloads into our project controls program. Build, maintain and update the project progress curves. Estimating. Project documentation. Generate and submit extra work orders and change orders. Provide technical support to the field employees. Good oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Position Summary
The primary function of a Delivery Driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load, and unload materials while providing a world-class customer service experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect truck and trailer for defects to ensure safe operation

• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites

• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others

• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations

• Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment

• Demonstrate stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading and unloading

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) required

• Minimum Class B license required; Class A strongly preferred

• Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required

• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations

Seeking a mid/senior-level Project Engineer to provide Owner Representation on the construction of a hyperscale data center campus in Abilene, TX. These individuals will manage various scopes during the base build and fit-out of multiple buildings on campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, or similar field, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required

• Data Center experience is a preferred

• Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a strong preference

• Proficiency in Procore is strongly preferred

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage individual tasks throughout the construction process including submittal and RFI processing, and safety reporting

• Coordinate Owner led meetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive actions to closure

• Oversee OFCI equipment release, delivery, deficiencies, startup and commissioning

• Ensure project compliance with Owner document controls and file specifications

• Administer project closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation

• Coordinate internal alignment on project document reviews, cost optimization exercises, contract issuances and design modifications

• Enforce project quality controls and safety programs through an in-depth understanding of the partner contracts and design documents

• Lead the Owner safety program and provide weekly HRA site walk reports. Two (2) HRA site walks are required per week to provide accurate safety metrics to the Owner EH&S department

• Translate job requirements to execution with minimal supervision

• Assist construction manager in preparing monthly financial updates and forecasts.

• Handle the Contractor billing process for the project and facilitate coordination with the Owner CCF department to ensure accuracy of scope included in each bill and timely review of all pay applications

• Run the change order review process turnkey. Provide timely review of change orders for accuracy of scope and costs

• Input PO requests in the financial system and oversee the distribution process to all Owner vendors

• Facilitate page-turn design document reviews and assemble comments with action items for internal stakeholders and direct contracted design partners

• Partner with Owner vendors turnkey to ensure successful completion of their scope (i.e. Signage, Furniture, and Controls)

• Guide design team/contractors throughout each project

• Work closely with Operations to coordinate ongoing construction activities on campus, develops and tracks MOPs for critical work in live spaces, and provide customer support as necessary

• Provide project commissioning support by onboarding the Commissioning Agent, facilitating script approvals and ensuring compliance with customer requirements

• Drive internal and external project closeout requirements

• Assist the Construction department with the upkeep of current campus and site permits, update the permit bond tracking sheet, and coordinate with local authorities to ensure all permits are current
