Job Title: Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Operation Manager

Job Description:
- End-To-End onboarding, setup, execution, and performance of the local, External Warehouse Provider and expanding the scope of the daily management of the Zebulon Site Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), in accordance to all established SOPs, Global Standards, and legal requirements.
- Pertaining to the onboarding and ultimate execution of the External Warehouse, including the development of the project plan, providing updates to stakeholders, developing flow and capacity management programs for the movement and storage of materials with collaboration from Logsistics and 3PL teams, developing new ways of working while maintaining compliance to all SOPs, Global Standards, Quality and Safety expectations, and relevant legal requirements.
- Pertaining to the expanding of oversight, execution, and development of documented ways of working for the Zebulon Site Foreign Trade Zone, including partnering with Logistics, Finance, 3PL Warehouse, and other relevant teams while maintaining compliance to all SOPs, Global Standards, Quality and Safety expectations, and relevant legal requirements.

Quality Assurance for Clinical Supply & Cold Chain, supporting the review and approval of GDP documentation generated in the context of supplying products for clinical studies.
Main tasks :
- Review of Supply Flow in line with clinical logistics strategy and qualified status of providers used
- Review of feasibility analysis of transfers between commercial sites, technical research and development GMP department, and its CMOs or between clinical sites to ensure quality attributes of products received and compliance of providers used
- Generation and/or review of cold chain documentation provided to CMOs/CROs to confirm storage conditions and cold chain budget allocated to CMO/CRO activities
- Determination of the cold chain budget available at the time of Release of batches prior to shipment to clinical sites
- Assessment of temperature excursions during storage or distribution of products for clinical studies
Required skills :
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance environment; ideally in the pharma industry
- Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, cold chain, manufacturing operations, clinical trial, product development and regulatory requirements
- Need of a good scientific background to understand the objectives of the studies and to interact with both GMP & Clinical operations
- Understanding of how clinical trials are set up and run as well as the associated legal and regulatory framework
- Good communication skills: ability to listen effectively, communicate complex matters both verbally and in writing, and ask questions that lead to the discovery of root causes
- Master's degree in Sciences/Engineering/Bioengineering

About the Role
The Project Manager (Contract) - External Warehouse PM & FTZ Overseer will support two critical operational functions at the Zebulon site:
- End-to-end Project Management for the onboarding, setup, execution, and performance of a local External Warehouse Provider
- Expanded oversight and operational management of the Zebulon Site Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
This role partners cross-functionally with Logistics, Finance, 3PL providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and scalable operations aligned with established SOPs, Global Standards, Quality, Safety, and all applicable legal requirements.
Responsibilities
External Warehouse Project Management
- Lead end-to-end onboarding and execution of the External Warehouse provider
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Design and implement flow, capacity, and inventory management processes in collaboration with Logistics and 3PL teams
- Establish new ways of working while ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, Global Standards, Quality, Safety, and regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations and material movement
Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Oversight
- Expand oversight and execution of daily FTZ operations at the Zebulon site
- Develop, document, and maintain compliant FTZ processes and workflows
- Partner closely with Logistics, Finance, 3PL Warehouse teams, and other stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with FTZ regulations, internal SOPs, Global Standards, and Quality and Safety expectations
- Support audits, documentation, and ongoing operational readiness related to FTZ activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Related experience working with Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) or free trade zone operations
- Strong project management experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite 3-4 days per week in Zebulon, NC
Preferred Skills
- Experience partnering with 3PL providers
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and process documentation

The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
