This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing approximately 200 skilled tradespeople producing HVAC sheet metal products and custom components that support major commercial and industrial projects across the region.

As a key leader reporting to the VP of Operations, you’ll drive performance across quality, production, safety, and workforce development, ensuring our shop delivers best-in-class craftsmanship, efficiency, and union leadership.

What You’ll Do Lead Production Operations – Oversee all aspects of shop production, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization for multiple concurrent projects.

Ensure Quality & Compliance – Implement and enforce QA standards; drive continuous improvement and resolve issues through root-cause analysis and corrective action.

Champion Safety & Cleanliness – Partner with Safety leadership to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment; enforce training and eliminate hazards proactively.

Optimize Efficiency – Analyze productivity data to identify waste, improve throughput, and ensure on-time, under-budget delivery of projects.

Develop & Lead People – Coach, train, and mentor foremen and team leads; foster accountability, skill development, and high morale among the workforce.

Strategic Execution – Align shop goals with company-wide initiatives; implement systems to monitor KPIs, resource planning, and labor utilization.

What You Bring 5–10 years of experience managing a large fabrication or manufacturing shop (HVAC or sheet metal required).

Demonstrated success leading 100+ employees in a union or high-volume production environment.

Proven ability to drive operational excellence, safety, and workforce engagement.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Autodesk Fabrication or similar software.

Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
