Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Assembler Installer Cable Controlled Systems to join our Joint and Installation team in Everett and Renton, Washington.

As an Assembler Installer for Cable Controlled Systems, you will be pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the installation and assembly processes. Your expertise will be essential as you perform critical tasks such as reaming, riveting, and setting cable tensions using a tension meter, all while adhering to precise specifications. You will meticulously select and verify parts, ensuring they are free of defects and suitable for installation, while also utilizing blueprints and work orders to guide your work. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you clean surfaces, apply sealants, and conduct thorough inspections to confirm that all assemblies meet regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform pickup, rework, authorized changes, and functional checks on work typically installed or assembled by lower classifications.

• Use a tension meter to set cable tension according to specifications.

• Conduct reaming and riveting as necessary to complete work assignments.

• Report job handicaps, such as errors in parts, materials, or assembly procedures, following shop procedures.

• Select appropriate parts, materials, and tools, and work with blueprints, assembly pages, and work orders to install and adjust cable-controlled systems in the aircraft.

• Review bar charts or automated timelines to determine job assignments and obtain necessary drawings.

• Locate work areas using drawings or paperwork that specify airplane and section numbers.

• Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials to ensure they are correct and free of defects.

• Obtain parts from the Parts Control Area if they are not pre-picked, ensuring they meet specifications.

• Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies per specifications, using appropriate tools.

• Disassemble parts and deburr holes to prepare for fastener installation.

• Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly, and apply sealants, alodine, primers, adhesives, and special finishes as required.

• Install cable control pulleys and rig control cables according to drawings and specifications.

• Check and adjust actuator motors for full travel of flight control systems using power sources and hand tools.

• Clean the work area and ensure the removal of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors as required.

• Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

• Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

• Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

In partnership with our Director of Engineering, Staff, and Clients, the Building Engineer II will work to meet

the evolving maintenance demands of the Portfolio to ensure a superior level of professionalism regarding

all maintenance requirements, including prompt response to and resolution of client and property

occupant requests or concerns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &DUTIES

• Proactively support the development and successful implementation of the preventative

maintenance program for the portfolio

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs in accordance with license(s) held
• Perform scheduled inspections, complete, and submit forms and/or checklists accurately and on

time

• Note items on inspection checklist which require follow up or additional work; communicate

findings with Chief and/or client

• Provide recommendations to Chief Engineer and/or client regarding needed repairs or services
• Act as lead of other Engineers as requested
• Read and understand operations manuals, constructions drawings, diagrams, and work orders

necessary to perform maintenance and other work

• Maintain appearance of property to Facilities Partners and Client’s standards
• Collaborate with other contracted vendors, and ensure quality of work performed by them
• Review, monitor and/or provide scope and specifications for contracted property services
• Partner with Chief and/or client to develop specifications for contracted services
• Respond to and resolve tenant service requests in accordance with license(s) held (e.g., replace

ballasts, repair plumbing, etc.)

• Provide excellent customer service by interacting in a professional and positive manner with

clients, vendors, co-workers, etc.

• Support annual operating and capital budgeting process as requested
• Use a variety of hand and power tools following all safety practices
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, loud noise,

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds and sometimes more than 10 pounds and rarely over 50 pounds. The employee must frequently climb a ladder. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and the ability to be covered by our insurer; maintain an O7 card, where applicable

Required Knowledge: Demonstrated working knowledge of typical office building systems (e.g., mechanical, fire and life safety, electrical, HVAC, security systems, plumbing, etc.)

Experience Required: 5-7 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance or related field; 5+ years’ experience operating relevant computer hardware/software (e.g., HVAC, security, MS Office, Work order system, smart phones, etc.)

Position Responsibilities:

• Communicate with shop personnel or check the Call Sheet for the next job or in-process inspection, obtaining applicable drawings and specifications.
• Ensure that the correct revisions of drawings and documents are being used, verifying that all paperwork and online systems are complete and accurate.
• Perform inspections and in-process inspections as required, including crimping, splicing, torque, bond, and ground checks.
• Conduct various tests and measurements, such as resistance tests, to ensure that wires meet specification requirements.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and document findings as required to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect electrical wire bundles and assemblies, ensuring all parts have been assembled according to drawings and specifications.
• Screen paperwork for options, substitutions, and effectiveness of parts and materials.
• Identify, investigate, and document discrepancies, reporting them to the shop as necessary.
• Reject wire bundles, assemblies, or installations as required, documenting discrepancies and processing Quality Assurance records.
• Indicate Quality Assurance acceptance on appropriate paperwork and online systems, processing documentation as required.
• Coordinate and complete travelers, investigating and clearing check orders as necessary.
• Initiate Inspection Record Change Requests (IRCR) and/or Shipside Action Trackers (SAT) as needed.
• Ensure that certifications for tools, test equipment, and personnel are current and compliant.
• Assist other employees by providing information and answering questions regarding functions, methods, and procedures.
• Perform first article inspections and FAA conformities, coordinating results as required.
• Enter data into various computing software systems, such as Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES) and Enterprise Process Evaluation Systems (EPES).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to evaluate and improve build processes and defect reduction initiatives.
• Initiate and document any nonconforming materials or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.
• Perform audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Witness or perform electrical continuity, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and bond or ground testing as required.
• Calibrate and certify electrical process tools, such as loggers, strippers, and crimpers.
• Refer to rejection tags and trouble reports to identify problems and initiate corrective actions.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Report job handicaps, such as errors in sequencing, parts, materials, wire sizes and types, and assembly procedures, in accordance with shop procedures outlined by the supervisor.

• Perform hand forming of electrical wiring and soldering as required to complete work assignments.

• Carry out mechanical work when it is similar in complexity and incidental but necessary for the efficient completion of work assignments.
