What you will do:
Abiding by the Mercycare Mission and values, under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the CT Technologist II performs all CT procedures in accordance with department standards.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.
- Evaluates requests for appropriateness, refers concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.
- Instructs patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.
- Effectively communicates information regarding post procedures.
- Ensures proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.

Attends training sessions on equipment maintenance in order to keep up-to-date on technological and medical equipment advances. Conducts in-service or coordinates training to radiology clinical/professional staff on proper use and safety of radiology equipment. Also, provides assistance and training to Biomedical Equipment Techs I and II as assigned.
Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.
Maintains high level of customer satisfaction as demonstrated by the results of customer satisfaction surveys.

The nurse is an integral part of the Imaging/Radiology Team. The major goal of the Radiology nurse is to provide exceptional quality nursing care to outpatients in the Radiology Department. The RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols already developed for the healthcare organization. - Assesses plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after the invasive procedures, breast biopsies.

- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

What qualifications you will need:
1. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
