Job Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.

  • Cleans stocks and sterilizes equipment in addition to cleaning and preparing patient rooms for care delivery.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • Associate's degree required and
  • Completion of an approved R.T. program. required

Experience

  • Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting; required and
  • 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience preferred
  • One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT ARRT Certification; required and
  • Must have a Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation whichever is applicable to location of the position; required and
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
  • Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Job Summary

Understands the theories and principles behind the equipment and tests performed in the nuclear medicine department.

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutically dosages under the direction of a physician. Employs radiation-detecting equipment to perform patient imaging procedures; describes procedures to patients and answers questions. Implements radiation safety standards and quality assurance into daily work and monitors a patient's condition during the course of an imaging procedure. Collects patient information, analyzes data and provides quality images for a physician to diagnose a patient.

Dependent on needs of facility and department may also be responsible and cross-trained in performing positron emission tomography computed tomography (PETCT) scans with thorough understanding of all processes related to PETCT. Has ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures after appropriate orientation to the department. Able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner. Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Thoroughly understand the operation of the ultrasound machine and utilize new technologies. Performs a variety of ultrasound examinations. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients and all organizational staff.

Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the sonography field. Displays empathy, compassion, and integrity.

Possesses an understanding of cross-sectional anatomy. Conducts self professionally at all times, even during moments of high stress.

Assists when necessary with the maintenance of accreditation requirements and processes. Understands age-related protocols for various testing. Coordinate work with physicians or other healthcare team members, including providing assistance during invasive procedures when applicable.

Supervises and train students and medical sonographers as needed. Reports and calls in-service requests on equipment when needed.

Additionally, based on the facility, some Sanford markets/facility sites may expand job responsibilities to include echocardiography.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year

equivalent work experience is preferred.

Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible.

Registry preferred within two years after hiring.

If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

For employees who provide outreach mobile services, maintenance of a valid driver's license and good driving record is required. This may include passenger on flights and occasional overnight stays at assigned sites. Job Summary

Performs daily imaging and delivers daily prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to radiation therapy patients safely and accurately. The therapist incorporates their technical knowledge of the equipment and expertise of clinical treatment set-up, anatomical landmarks, treatment recording and management during patient care. The therapist must be able to interact effectively and accurately with patients and their family members, physicians, healthcare workers, and radiation oncology department personnel. Possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in accurate delivery of prescribed doses of radiation, safety of patient during treatment, and documentation of patient care in the patient treatment record and inpatient chart (if applicable). A patient's sensitivity and confidentiality must be practiced at all times with adherence all HIPAA compliance standards. The therapist develops an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status and reports that to the appropriate staff. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations.

Qualifications

Completion of radiation therapy course from an approved school or accredited program.
