CNSide Diagnostics, LLC, a subsidiary of Plus Therapeutics, Inc., develops and commercializes proprietary clinical diagnostic laboratory tests, such as CNSide, designed to identify tumor cells that have metastasized to the central nervous system in patients with carcinomas and melanomas. The CNSide Cerebrospinal Fluid Assay Platform enables quantitative analysis and molecular characterization of tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA in cerebrospinal fluid, informing and improving the clinical management of patients. Role:

This position collaborates with the Laboratory and Medical Directors to ensure high-quality laboratory testing in compliance with established policies, procedures, and CAP/COLA/CLIA standards. It also works closely with the Director of Operations to support and advance strategic business initiatives.



Responsibilities:

Microscopy & Image Analysis

  • Oversee and perform tumor cell enumeration and analysis using multi-channel fluorescence imaging.
  • Interpret fluorescent images across multiple channels, distinguishing true cellular signals from background, debris, or nonspecific staining.
  • Apply standardized rules and reporting criteria for rare-event detection and maintain consistency across operators.


Quality & Documentation

  • Refine, expand, and improve clinical services in body imaging and related image-guided procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and provide consultative expertise for referring physicians and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with referring providers to ensure appropriate, high-value use of imaging studies and procedures.
  • Share in the division’s clinical schedule and call responsibilities, with occasional coverage at the Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center.

Service & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and patient care process enhancements.
  • Participate in peer review, clinical protocol development, and recruitment/marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality imaging protocols and efficient workflow.
  • Promote a culture of collegiality, inclusivity, and respect within the Division and across UVA Health.
  • Support the professional reputation of UVA Radiology in the communities we serve.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree; board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.

Interim Director of Imaging Needed in a Great Location!

The Position

- An Interim Director of Imaging is needed to provide strategic and operational leadership across three imaging departments in western Kansas.
- Key responsibilities include overseeing imaging services across assigned locations; managing staffing and resource utilization; ensuring regulatory compliance and OP10 adherence; improving patient experience; collaborating closely with physicians and providers to reduce delays; and troubleshooting operational challenges across all modalities.
- The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on imaging leadership experience with the ability to oversee full-scope radiology services, optimize workflows, support staff development, and foster strong communication with providers and patients. The candidate must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
- Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Active state licensure required; ARRT or other relevant imaging certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive imaging leadership experience overseeing multiple modalities, with demonstrated success in multi-site operations and physician collaboration.

- Pay Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually.

Our Advanced Imaging Core Group provides coverage for echocardiography, interventional echocardiography, cardiac CT, SPECT/PET, and CMR in a well-established cardiovascular group (75 cardiologists system-wide, 25 at Aurora St. Luke’s campus) on the forefront of cardiology. The ideal candidate would have completed an advanced imaging fellowship and have interest in multi-modality imaging, structural heart disease procedures, clinical education and clinical research.

Highlights

  • Provide physician coverage and interpretation of transthoracic and trans-esophageal echocardiograms
  • Provide physician coverage and interpretation of cardiac CT
  • Provide physician coverage and interpretation of cardiac MRI
  • Provide physician supervision for stress laboratory, staffed with physician assistants for nuclear and echocardiographic stress tests
