Boeing Engineering & Technical Innovation is seeking talented individuals to join our Integrated Vehicle Systems team as a Senior Flight Engineering Manager to lead our Aerosciences team based in Hazelwood, MO and will require periodic travel to engage with cross-site teams, functional and business unit stakeholders, and customers.

This individual will manage and lead a team of talented engineers responsible for ensuring state-of-the-art development, application and transition of tools, methods and technologies across Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), applied aerodynamics, aero-acoustics and flow control addressing strategic capability needs from Boeing Commercial and Defense business units. Position Responsibilities:

  • Sets strategic direction, growing and managing a portfolio comprised of internal and external research & development and business unit support.

Job Description:

The Chief Integration & Test Engineer (CITE) will oversee system verification and test planning for the integration of the spacecraft bus, mission payload, and communication payload, culminating in end-to-end testing. Responsibilities include leading a team of I&T engineers through the product life cycle, from initial requirement analysis for testability to designing and developing test plans and flows. Essential Functions:

  • Provide mastery-level system integration and test engineering expertise to a team.
  • Lead space hardware and software integration and verification testing at acceptance, proto-flight, and qualification levels for all relevant environments (vibration, thermal, vacuum)

Job Description:
The Integration & Test Engineer will be responsible for leading the test effort through the product life cycle activities ranging from program inception, requirements analysis, testability, test architecture, integration, and production support activities. The Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and sub-contractors for the full integration and test of the system.

Essential Functions:

* Provides mastery-level system integration and test engineering expertise and technical leadership to a team during verification activities including functional, environmental qualification, and environmental production tests of Space equipment (spacecraft bus, communication & mission payloads).
* Responsible for leading the developing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design(s) to meet all technical requirements and specifications to test space vehicle, payload, and/or test bed(s)
* Responsible for generating test documentation (e.g., Test Requirements Documents, Test Design Documents, Test Plans and Test Procedures)
* Directs support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the system test and integration tasks for Space Payloads and/or Space Vehicles

Qualifications:

Job Summary

The School of Aerospace Engineering ( ) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants will be considered at all ranks and in any technical areas of relevance to aerospace systems, interpreted broadly. These areas include artificial intelligence and dynamical systems.

Typically reporting to the School Chair, the Professor is a tenured/tenure-track faculty member who performs a combination of teaching, research, and service. Professors may hold administrative appointments as long as the majority of their time is dedicated to teaching, research, and service. Professors hold a terminal degree and have normally spent three or more years at the rank of Associate Professor.
