Department Information
The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. Job Summary
Act as the primary administrative support for a school Chair providing office related services including correspondence and report preparation, maintaining files, meeting arrangements and related functions. May be responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Chair and Associate Chairs, Dean, School faculty members and staff, students and visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrative support to the Chair, including managing correspondence, preparing reports, maintaining files, and coordinating meetings.
- Oversee PCard transactions: order supplies, process registrations, and fulfill approved requests for faculty, staff, and students. Ensure all required documentation is submitted and purchases are accurately tracked.
- Plan and coordinate departmental events, including travel arrangements, venue reservations, catering, and equipment needs for both on- and off-campus functions.
- Support faculty recruitment by initiating the interview process and serving as the primary point of contact for candidates.
- Manage the faculty annual review process to ensure compliance with institute requirements.
- Interpret and communicate administrative policies; develop and refine internal procedures in alignment with institute guidelines.
- Utilize the PROMOTE system to manage academic promotion, tenure, research faculty promotion, and critical review processes on behalf of the Chair.
- Coordinate unit purchasing activities, including preparing documentation, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships.
- Review and approve correspondence, OneUSG, and Workday transactions on behalf of the Chair.
- Certify monthly time reporting for faculty and staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Associate Chairs as needed.
- Maintain departmental listservs, phone directories, and file systems.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of faculty and staff.
- Respond to emails and manage the Chair's inbox and calendar.
- Provide general administrative assistance as needed.

Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Computer Vision Engineer to join our team on-site in Danvers, MA. The role involves designing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms to enhance virtual tours and automated rental solutions. Responsibilities include developing 3D spatial reconstruction technics, pattern recognition models, utilizing computer vision techniques, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating vision systems into our rental platform. The engineer will also work on performance optimization and ensure seamless integration of these technologies with the platform’s functionalities.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with SLAM, Structure from Motion (SfM) and camera pose estimation
- Strong experience with 3D Gaussian Splatting and surface reconstruction
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing computer vision algorithms (segmentation, object detection, classification, tracking)
- Familiarity with deep learning models and their deployment
- Solid understanding of multi-view geometry
- Proficiency in OpenCV, and either PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Proficiency with modern graphics libraries such as OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, DirectX
- Experience working with 3D point clouds, mesh generation, and libraries such as Open3D, Trimesh, or PCL
- Familiarity with 3D reconstruction pipelines (e.g., COLMAP, NerfStudio, Photogrammetry tools)
- Experience working with multi-modal sensors: GPS, LiDAR, stereo/depth cameras, IMUs

The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required.
The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure.
