Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty instructors at Saint Xavier University are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as in-person, online, hybrid and/or blended formats, with a preference towards in-person instruction. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, departmental communication, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field; Doctorate preferred.

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Job Summary
Act as the primary administrative support for a school Chair providing office related services including correspondence and report preparation, maintaining files, meeting arrangements and related functions. May be responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Chair and Associate Chairs, Dean, School faculty members and staff, students and visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrative support to the Chair, including managing correspondence, preparing reports, maintaining files, and coordinating meetings.
- Oversee PCard transactions: order supplies, process registrations, and fulfill approved requests for faculty, staff, and students. Ensure all required documentation is submitted and purchases are accurately tracked.
- Plan and coordinate departmental events, including travel arrangements, venue reservations, catering, and equipment needs for both on- and off-campus functions.
- Support faculty recruitment by initiating the interview process and serving as the primary point of contact for candidates.
- Manage the faculty annual review process to ensure compliance with institute requirements.
- Interpret and communicate administrative policies; develop and refine internal procedures in alignment with institute guidelines.
- Utilize the PROMOTE system to manage academic promotion, tenure, research faculty promotion, and critical review processes on behalf of the Chair.
- Coordinate unit purchasing activities, including preparing documentation, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships.
- Review and approve correspondence, OneUSG, and Workday transactions on behalf of the Chair.
- Certify monthly time reporting for faculty and staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Associate Chairs as needed.
- Maintain departmental listservs, phone directories, and file systems.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of faculty and staff.
- Respond to emails and manage the Chair's inbox and calendar.
- Provide general administrative assistance as needed.

Job Description
Project Description: Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works independently. Typically reports to a manager. Image and deploy laptop and workstation systems for the Camp Grayling post. Occasional imaging and deployment/installation of equipment at other locations throughout the state may be required. Maintain and repair all program resources for Camp grayling Distance Learning Program (DLP). Perform system patching, updates, refresh of operating system image. Installation of all peripherals, projectors, printers, camera's, sound equipment and recording devices. Configuring, installation, and support of all video conferencing systems. Configuring and maintenance of bridge system for conferencing. Manage and coordinate calendars and scheduling tools for Camp Grayling DLC. Conduct inventory and document hand receipts for all incoming and outgoing equipment. Coordinate staff support of all equipment for end users. Maintain data to support metric requirements provided to National Guard Bureau program management. Schedule and coordinate all audio and video conferences with owned locations and distant locations throughout the world. Prepare rooms for scheduled video or audio conferences. Coordinate issuance and return of loaned endpoints, video and audio equipment, and ensure equipment is properly set-up and taken down in support of conference requirements as needed. Ensure classified video conferencing is conducted in appropriate areas and verify class level of all participants prior to connecting system. Ensure classified and un-classified conferences are tested prior to event date. Monitor all classified transmissions to ensure integrity of communication.
Skills Required:

All of these tasks represent 75% of an average workday. 3-5 years experience is required.
Education Required: High school graduate, college is not necessary but post HS training in computers is preferred. A+ certification, NW+ certification, preferred, Security+ required. US Secret clearance is required, applicants not eligible for a secret clearance are not eligible to work in this environment.
