We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Risk Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building an investment risk framework that allows us to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our investment portfolios. You also will oversee the risk in portfolios related to our reinsurance trusts and other third-party managers.
As the Investment Risk Manager, you'll be required to have a deep understanding of investment risk principles and investment strategies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with various departments across Securian Asset Management and its parent company, Securian Financial Group.
Collaborate with the investment, data, technology, and leadership teams to build an investment risk monitoring framework that will enable efficient monitoring of identified attributes at defined intervals.
Utilize the investment risk monitoring framework to monitor risks within specific asset classes and across the entire client portfolio.
Lead discussions among investment professionals and leadership on which risk attributes to monitor and appropriate guidelines for each attribute.
Initiate notification processes when risk attributes fall outside of established guidelines.
Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts on portfolios.
Raise concerns with portfolio teams and leadership where investment risks fall outside of established guidelines or in anticipation of potential movement outside of guidelines.
Partner with Securian's Enterprise Risk Management Team to incorporate investment risk controls into our broader enterprise risk management view.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices on investment risk oversight.
Produce ad hoc reporting in support of the CIO, Securian AM leadership, and enterprise partners to provide transparency on investment risk attributes on an as-needed basis.
Represent the investment risk function when appropriate at various forums (i.e., enterprise committees, fund boards, corporate committees, and corporate boards).
Develop oversight framework tailored to individual 3rd party relationships, including specific investment guidelines.
Monitor investment risk attributes of externally managed portfolios.
Coordinate with enterprise partners on comprehensive 3rd party investment management oversight process.
Consult with enterprise partners on investment risk considerations for potential new relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the asset management or insurance industry, with a focus on credit risk
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Demonstrated aptitude for leveraging data and systems to produce effective monitoring and reporting
Understanding of asset risk theory, relevant analytical and numerical modeling techniques, and industry-standard risk metrics that quantify various dimensions of asset risk
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate and gain buy-in across various teams within Securian AM and the Securian enterprise
Ability to stand firm in risk management principles and make tough decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or professional certification (e.g. CFA, FRM)

The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,425 - $5,700 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,020 - $7,200 total per course. We are seeking to hire a Mechanical Circulatory Support Nurse Coordinator for our Heart Center! This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.
Our ideal candidate has the ability to collaborate with hospital administration, physician leaders, and nursing staff to organize and support our advanced heart failure program. Our goal is to be able to deliver the best of care, which includes “end stage” therapies right here in Boise. We are currently utilizing ECMO, and LVAD therapies are being considered to treat end stage disease.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 4 10 hr shifts
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate and manage ongoing care for Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients adult (18 through 64 years) and geriatric (65 years and above) throughout the care continuum.
Provide supportive care to temporary and durable MCS patients; functioning in an expanded role using the nursing process and integrating acts of complex assessment and comprehensive care management.
Record physical findings and participate in formulating care plans, based on the patient's condition, to maintain a complete and accurate patient medical record in the physician office and hospital.
Provide leadership, clinical consultation, and education related to the management and care of complex cardiac patients and MCS devices for staff, physicians, and other disciplines with contact or care responsibilities for this population.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, hospital staff, and referring physicians.
Participate in community outreach and educational lectures.
Manage Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) program protocols and documentation, including ELSO registry data.
Maintenance and tracking of outcome and quality standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience Requirement:
Three years of critical care experience
License/Certification Requirement:
Registered Nurse license in the State of Idaho required by start date. Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon required within six months of start date.

Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.

Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturers' recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other related sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standards requirements.
Notifies equipment users and Clinical Engineering Management of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.
Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAssociates of Applied Sciences degree in medical electronics, electronic technology or related field, including comparable military training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to two-years experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical equipment per policy.
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.
