Salary range:

Percent time:
11% to 100%, depending on the number of courses and or additional duties assigned.
Anticipated start:
Applicants will be selected from this pool to be appointed in the Fall 2025 semester, the Spring 2026 semester, and some applicants may have an opportunity to teach in our 2026 Summer Sessions.
Position duration:

How you’ll make an impact in this roleProvide direct nursing care on an 80 bed Cardiac unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

The Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center consists of 80 beds. There are 40 Critical Care and ICU beds and 40 Progressive beds.
Our State-Of-The-Art heart care is provided utilizing a Universal Bed Model. The universal bed model is an innovative care delivery system that allows patient care to be managed in one setting room post-operation to discharge.
