In this role, the individual will be part of the Software Test team conducting software/hardware integration testing and formal qualification test (FQT) of Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software with a focus on leadership, quality, process improvement, tool improvement and test automation.We are seeking an individual that is passionate about aerospace and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging government and international programs.The Boeing KC-46 "Pegasus" is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft. The KC-46 is equipped with self-protection, defensive and communication systems making it more survivable in a contested environment.Assist with designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.Contributes to partnering with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability.Participates in the design test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications.Assists with the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.Assists with executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.Contributes to providing test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities.Gathers information, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards.Supports maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.Assists with software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline or 4+ years equivalent related experienceExperience in C, C++, Java, and/or AdaExperience with Linux based operating systems, command line tools and scripting languages

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degreeExperience in software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in the development, testing, and deployment of softwareExperience in developing and executing software test proceduresKnowledge of appropriate customer or governmental regulations relevant to design, test, and certification (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycleKnowledge of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test and certification)Union:This is a union-represented position.

Summary pay range for Entry-Level: $76,500 - $103,500
