Mgr. Clinic Systems Informatics-NHC Administration
Job Description
Summary Job Summary The Manager for Clinic Systems Informatics serves as the clinical liaison for the execution, coordination, development, implementation and ongoing support of outpatient Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Facilitates the integration between clinical automation systems, working closely with the Director of Clinical Informatics and Information Systems, to translate clinical needs, requests, and regulatory requirements into specifications for clinical systems.
Advocates for the use of information technology across multiple clinical settings and provides support and training for physicians during implementation and use of CPOE and other EHR systems, in collaboration with the Nursing Informatics Department.
Minimum Job Requirements: Work Experience Five years of clinical nursing experience required, preferably in acute care or hospital settings.
Three years in clinical informatics, health IT, or EHR implementation, including CPOE, clinical documentation, and HIE systems.
Experience serving as a liaison between clinical staff and IT and administrative teams or cross-functional groups and applying data analysis to quality metrics and regulatory reporting.
Experience developing and implementing staff education, orientation, and competency programs.
Three years of management experience is required.
License/Registration/Certification Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Nursing Informatics Certification preferred.
Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Master’s degree in nursing, Information Systems, Nursing Informatics or currently attending a graduate program preferred.
Skills Knowledge of clinical processes, nursing workflows, and acute care practice standards.
Knowledge of clinical informatics, EHR systems (CPOE, Clinical Documentation), and HIE initiatives.
Knowledge of computer systems, project management, and process redesign in healthcare.
Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and reporting standards (TJC, CMS, MIPS, Leapfrog, Meaningful Use).
Strong management skills, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling to achieve results.
Ability to lead committees, advisory groups, and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
Ability to facilitate solutions, initiate process or technical improvements, and achieve successful project outcomes.
Strong communication and presentation skills for physicians, staff, leadership, and vendors.
Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to develop staff, implement competency programs, and provide training/orientation.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with emphasis on collaboration and customer service.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, multitask, and meet project objectives on time.
Ability to analyze and validate clinical data to produce actionable outcomes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other clinical applications, with ability to present and report effectively.
Ability to support organizational mission and values, mentor staff, and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient care; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
