POSITION SUMMMARY: The Critical Systems Technician I, HVAC works under the direct supervision of senior technician and is required to assist in the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the data center and supporting infrastructure.

Electric duct heaters
Cooling Towers
Pneumatic, DDC and Variable Frequency Drive controls
HVAC air distribution systems, AHU'S, FCU'S, Fans and other devices used in air distribution.
Various types of water pumps used in the HVAC industry.
Responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment in a clean, first class, efficient operating condition.

This role ensures the accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements, while also maintaining stringent aseptic technique and patient safety standards. The Technologist I actively collaborates with the medical team to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency, serving as the radiation safety representative during X-ray usage and continually developing proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies.

- Trains and completes competencies to set up and operate cath lab equipment including, but not limited to: Imaging (X-Ray, intravascular ultrasound-IVUS, intracardiac echo-ICE), contrast injector, hemodynamic system, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, left ventricular assist device, etc.
- Supports and anticipates the needs of the physician and ensures patient safety when scrubbing procedures;
moves/pans table appropriately during fluoro and X-Ray acquisition. - Adheres to aseptic technique 100% of the time during procedures and stops the line if a break in sterile technique is identified.

Department Information
The Campus Engineering team exists to provide support to all aspects of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities. Campus facilities include not only the buildings which are occupied by our students, faculty and staff, but it also includes central campus utility plants and the associated utility systems, including chilled water, steam, power, and natural gas
During the design process, first, our Team creates and maintains the design standards for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, and lighting. These standards are used by us, and by our outside consultants, to guide the design efforts of new buildings and renovation projects. Our team is also responsible for reviewing the design documents created by the consultants to ensure that their designs comply with standards.
During construction projects, our Team is often called upon to provide advice related to unforeseen conditions which are discovered during demolition work. We often provide a second review of material and equipment submittals, as well as shop drawings. On most campus construction projects, the day-to-day interaction with the contractor is managed by our co-workers within one of the Construction teams. However, on a few projects we may be called on to manage those day-to-day contractor activities.
Post construction, and throughout the life of the facilities, our team serves to provide advice to our Operation & Maintenance teams, and our Utilities Maintenance team, when a problem grows larger than their capacity. We also plan and prepare the way for projects to replace equipment as it nears the end of life. We are always looking ahead for opportunities to increase efficiency and resiliency in the systems.
