Role SummaryStocking associates are focused on unloading trucks and stocking new freight. They spend the majority of their time in the backroom. Stocking associates must be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts may also be necessary. Depending on the shift you work, your job could include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, or helping customers while stocking shelves. JOB TITLE: Stock Associate
REPORTS TO: General Manager
Job Purpose:
The Stock Associate is responsible for supporting all operational functions related to merchandise logistics, with a focus on incoming and outgoing shipment processing, allocation, and distribution. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Stock Associate partners with store leadership, to ensure stock levels and replenishment needs align with TOM FORD FASHION standards.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Support inventory management: conduct regular inventory cycle counts in partnership with Store leadership and the Operations Manager to ensure stock levels match system records.
- Handle products with care following sales operations and packaging guidelines.
- Inspect all incoming and outgoing products for quality and presentation standards before sending them out to clients / stores or placing them on the shop floor. Report and manage any damage or discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and well-labelled stockroom to maximize sales efficiency, pivot merchandise when needed to accommodate stock levels and prevent damage, especially delicate and high end items.
- Partner with the Operations Manager to replenish the selling floor and floor cabinets with the right products in a timely manner, coordinate with sales associates and visual merchandisers to ensure displays are always full and attractive.
- Follow strict procedures to prevent shrinkage and loss, including accurate tracking and secure handling of merchandise. Adhere to company protocols when handling transfers, damages, and returns.
- Respond to products requests in a timely manner, communicating the arrival of transfers to enhance customer service.
- Locate and prepare products for client appointments and special events as needed.
Skills, Competencies & Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in a retail back-of-house environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in digital systems including POS and inventory tools.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-centric and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to lift or carry (pushing/pulling) up to 25 pounds (or more).
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach or squat to handle and stock merchandise

Job Purpose: Achieve daily business objectives by supporting all shipping and receiving, overseeing inventory, monitoring store supplies, and maintaining back stock effectively. The Stock Supervisor is also responsible for supporting the sales floor as needed. Reporting directly to the store manager.
Stockroom Operations:
- Supervise stock associates and ensure proper training on all company policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations to Store Manager as necessary to improve store processes.
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager on stock associate performance issues.
- Maintain all merchandise in the stockroom by category and ensure that it is labeled appropriately for quick location.
- Ensure a high level of organization and cleanliness in all areas of the stockroom, including store supplies and fixtures.
- Manage store supply inventory and create supply orders monthly. Communicate maintenance issues to management in a timely manner.
Inventory Management:
- Process shipment receipts quickly and accurately. Verify units received; unpack and process merchandise as appropriate (e.g., hang, fold, or stack).
- Process all store-to-store transfers, RA's, and damage/defective transfers efficiently. Confirm all transferred items are accurate and ticketed correctly and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate Inventory Control records according to company policy and procedures. Participate in quarterly inventory process.
- Communicate inventory issues to management as soon as they arise.
- Maintain 2% or less annual shrink results
- Organize and conduct weekly cycle counts
Daily Operations and Customer Service:
- Provide a courteous experience for all customers while on the selling floor.
- Be knowledgeable about inventory levels in the stockroom; conduct customer merchandise checks and refill the floor as needed.
- Prepare web orders and other charge send packages for shipment appropriately.
- Maintain accurate UPS records.
- Assist with housekeeping and other store operations duties as assigned by management
- Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness and standards of both front and back of house
- Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy prior to receiving in Netsuite, verifying that quantities match packing lists, TO’s etc.
- Ensure damages/store repairs are processed accurately and at a minimum of once a month
- Monitor store supply levels and place bi-weekly/monthly orders
- Prep new product for the sales floor, and backstock according to policy and procedure
- Analyze inventory levels to request bi-weekly allocation/inventory transfers
- Maintain ongoing communication with the store team regarding new arrivals, stock availability, and quality control issues
- Ensure damages/store repairs are processed accurately and at a minimum of once a month
- Support the sales floor team on replenishment and recovery during peak business hours
- Partner with store manager to identify repair and maintenance needs in the store
- Assist with online returns and client repairs

Simkhai is searching for a Retail Stock Associate. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor and in the stockroom. This position supports daily store operations by managing inventory flow, maintaining stockroom organization, and ensuring operational procedures are followed. Must be comfortable engaging with customers, responding to inquiries, and supporting the sales team on the floor when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock & Inventory
- Receive, unpack, and process incoming and outgoing shipments
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays according to company standards
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and audits
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise
- Ensure proper pricing, tagging, and product placement
Operations
- Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Follow operational guidelines for inventory control and loss prevention
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom and sales floor
- Assist with visual merchandising resets and store layout changes
- Operate inventory systems, handheld scanners, and point-of-sale tools as needed

Team & Store Support
- Collaborate with management and sales teams to meet store goals
- Assist sales associates with shipping consignments and client sales
- Assist on the sales floor during peak hours or coverage gaps when needed

- Answer incoming store phone calls from time to time when needed
Qualifications:
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Must have ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 40–50 lbs); Physical work including standing, lifting, bending and walking
- Must have strong organizational and operational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Must have prior retail, stock, or operations experience
