ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Improves manufacturing processes utilizing automation. Researches, develops, evaluates, and implements of all aspects of manufacturing.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, product design, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Develops & implements methods and procedures for managing cost and/or Quality Improvement.
Develops specific project plans that address objectives resources required, deadlines, anticipated costs and resulting profit improvements.
Develops and implements methods for recording, evaluating and reporting statistical data when appropriate.
Troubleshoots and initiates timely corrective action for process problems.
Directs the design of dies, jigs, fixtures and other related manufacturing tools.
Evaluate, review, and design systems/processes to increase production capabilities to improve quality, efficiency, ergonomics, and safety.
Mentor and/or lead continuous improvement projects through the use of Lean principles.
Train team members on proper utilization of production tools, procedures, and equipment.
Interact with employees to learn where opportunities for improvement exist.
Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering staff to resolve production problems.
Communicate with vendors, when needed, to find optimal solutions for identified problems.
Read and understand all SOP’s and meet all safety training requirements.
Able to utilize basic functions of Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Must maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate punctuality.

OSHA and industrial safety experience.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, experience with 5S or comparable systems.
Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
