  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:50pm (Day shifts, 8 hours per day)

  • Support Staff: Full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support

Hematology/Oncology Physician Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology (required)
  • Active Minnesota medical license (IMLC accepted)
  • DEA certification (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in medical oncology or hematology
  • Drive-in candidates required for locums-to-perm consideration
  • Experience managing solid tumor cases
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

Hematology/Oncology Physician Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care to hematology and oncology patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including APPs and support staff
  • Manage solid tumor cases and offer expert clinical consultation
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans using Epic EMR
  • Participate in clinic operations and contribute to quality patient outcomes

  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans

  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Continuously monitor, interpret, and document patient physiological status throughout the perioperative period
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety
  • Collaborate with the MD-supervised anesthesia care team to support safe, efficient case flow
  • Provide anesthesia services across a broad case mix including General, Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, OB, and Pediatrics
