Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Tooling Architecture & Integration

• Design and maintain the integrations that connect our core business systems, ensuring information flows consistently across Jira, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Zendesk, Intuit Enterprise, ERP platforms, and internal applications.

• Build automated workflows and API-driven processes that reduce manual effort, eliminate redundant work, and improve data accuracy.

• Lead the unification of identity, permissions, and user lifecycle management across enterprise tools to support operational efficiency and compliance.

• Oversee cross-platform data synchronization for contacts, leases, tickets, financial data, and operational workflows to ensure a consistent and reliable customer and business experience.

APM, Observability & Unified Visibility

POSITION SUMMARY

The Tooling Warehouse Manager is responsible for controlling, maintaining, and optimizing all tools, equipment, and related inventory that support field operations. This role ensures that crews have the proper tools in proper condition while controlling costs and reducing downtime. This role also ensures that all company and government regulated safety standards are met.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Manages all current and incoming tooling inventory supporting transmission, distribution, and substation crews. Maintains accurate counts of hot-line tools, rubber goods, rigging, hand tools, power tools, and transmission equipment.
• Tracks tool condition, certifications, and replacement cycles, and coordinates testing and recertification as required.
• Administers and maintains the Yardz asset management system.
• Stocks and outfits line trucks, bucket trucks, diggers, and service vehicles based on crew type, customer specifications, and project scope.
• Works with multiple vendors to procure new tooling, replacement parts, PPE, rubber goods, and rigging. Coordinates specialty tooling rentals as needed and maintains strong vendor relationships to support pricing and availability.
• Maintains working knowledge of small engine repair and upkeep, including chainsaws, generators, air compressors, hydraulic power units, and pumps. Coordinates repairs internally or through third-party vendors and manages service schedules.
• Supervises and leads a warehouse team of 3–5 employees. Assigns daily responsibilities, provides coaching and performance feedback, and ensures safe work practices and compliance within the warehouse and yard.
• Maintains constant engagement with field leadership, including General Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers. Supports urgent tooling needs, storm mobilizations, and jobsite deliveries and returns.
• Oversees organization, storage, and security of the warehouse and laydown yard, including poles, wire, hardware, reel stands, and construction materials.
• Ensures all tooling and equipment meet OSHA, ASTM, IEEE, and company safety standards. Maintains inspection documentation and supports safety audits as needed.
• Prepares reports as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, or tool management experience.
• Experience in construction or electrical contracting preferred.
• Previous management experience, a plus.

Description

Develop and support safety and continuous improvement activities by overseeing the tooling/fixture procurement process from design through build, including the supervision of tool makers & a broach bar technician. This includes machine shop fixtures and misc. work holding. The primary purpose of this position is to design innovative fixtures, assign work & direct the tool makers and manage/approve designs/procurement of our broach bar inventory. This position is critical in achieving operational excellence throughout the facility.

Requirements

· Design, implement, and trouble shoot work holding, gauges & equipment components used in production machines.

· Out-source work to vendors and follow-up with build schedules. Evaluate build time & skill level required to build items and determine cost & lead time. Follow-up to ensure build is on time.

· Issue purchase orders for materials and tool room supplies and ensure correct items are ordered and arrive on time.

· Supervise all shifts of the tool room & broach bar technician. Assign work, direct activities and ensure 90% on time completion. Mentor, train and motivate employees to continually develop their skills.

· Manage broach bar processes from design review/approvals, broach bar inventory management (quoting, ordering, and procurement), trouble shooting, and problem-solving broaching issues on the floor.

· Tool Room leadership, process, tooling, & fixture problem solving. Toolmaker training in best practices and promoting continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-time delivery, & Employee Development.

· Identify areas for improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to continually improve processes, equipment & practices.

Competencies:

· 3D Solids modeling design experience, preferably PTC Creo.

· Can develop innovative tooling designs that are ergonomically sound and are easily machinable with proper GD&T and material call outs.

· Understands tool steels, nylons and various non-ferrous materials to help improve fixture durability while maintaining a lower cost.

· Capable of troubleshooting broach tooling issues or interested in learning about the use of these tools.

Key Responsibilities of Toolmaker:

• Build, repair, and modify precision injection molds and tooling used in production

• Operate and troubleshoot equipment including CNC machines, EDM, mills, grinders, and manual machining equipment

• Work from engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and blueprints to fabricate mold components

• Diagnose tooling issues and perform mold maintenance to support production uptime

• Use inspection tools and gauging equipment to maintain tight tolerances

Qualifications of Toolmaker:

• Experience with injection mold fabrication, mold repair, or tool & die work

• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, EDM, grinding, and manual machining equipment

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM models

• Experience working in a tool room, plastics manufacturing, or precision machining environment
