The Superintendent will be responsible for the field planning and management process of the bridge related aspects of construction projects. Safety

  • Report Safety Incidents immediately to the Project Superintendent & Safety Manager. Complete a Safety Incident Report in conjunction with the Safety Manager within 48 hours of the incident.
  • Conduct a tool box safety talk every morning with your crew and prior to the major start of a new operation.


Quality, Schedule, Budget

  • Review and understand plans, specifications and standard drawings for the work to be performed. Build the work to meet or exceed specifications.
  • Insure materials utilized are from the approved source and are available when needed.
  • Review crew size (i.e.: trucks, equipment & labor) in HCSS Heavy Job and complete the work within the time & cost allocated (minimum requirement).
  • Care for equipment assigned to the project. Report equipment maintenance issues to the Superintendent immediately.

Project Records

  • Complete and send accurate HCSS Heavy Job Reports to the Archbold office by 10 AM the following day.
  • Complete accurate extra work forms daily (as required) including signature of the owners’ representative (i.e.: inspector/engineer).
  • Review actual cost vs. estimated cost as shown on HCSS Heavy Job. Review with the Superintendent and make adjustments as needed.


Employee Relations

  • Inform employees of all current company policies regarding EEO, Affirmative Action, Sexual Harassment and ADA. Insure policies are met on the project. Report employee complaints and violations immediately to Human Resources for action.
  • Perform on-going training of assigned employees in all areas of the work.


Authority:

Under the direction of the Extrusion Manager, the Extrusion Technician is responsible for overseeing the running of extruders on the shift, setting the dies, completing documentation, and maintaining process parameters to ensure the manufacturing of quality products. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.



Essential Functions





  • Understand and follow all work instructions to set up, start, and put into production any extruded products

  • Ensure that all process parameters are maintained within the specification limits. Follow all instructions and directions set forth by the Extrusion Tech Lead.

  • Assist in training Extrusion Operators on the shift.

  • Understand and perform all aspects of tooling setups, cleaning of tools, and storage of tools. Follow all instructions to maintain inventory control and cycle counts

  • Have good communication with the punch department. Maintain a safe and clean work area.

  • Communicate all quality and/or process issues to the Extrusion Manager, Extrusion Technician Lead, and other necessary support departments.

  • Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO14001 certifications by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.



Other Functions



  • Cross-train as a Punch Technician.

  • Perform Extrusion Operator functions as needed. Perform grinding duties as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Success in this role will require



  • Understanding of extrusion processing, generally accepted manufacturing principles, and the ability to document non-conformances.

  • Read and interpret shop orders.

  • Understanding of inventory and the impact of cycle counting on company records.

  • Required Personal Protective Equipment * Safety shoes are to be worn at all times during your scheduled work hours. *





  • Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department-specific work instructions.

  • All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment. Forklift certified at HellermannTyton



What You Bring (Qualifications)



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and understand tool and product blueprints/specifications. Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12 hours when scheduled. Prior forklift experience preferred.

  • Must be able to perform detailed inspections and complete associated documentation.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions in either written or oral form.

Delivery





  • Ensure ownership of agents and AI workflows are transitioned to business stakeholders within the business.

  • Make value visible and auditable. Track and report on program benefit metrics such as savings, improved experience, reduced waste, efficiency improvements, etc.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor, the Set-Up Technician is responsible for using tools & overhead cranes to complete mold changes, rehangs, as well as pull molds for repairs and conversions. The Set-Up Techs will make follow all set-up procedures and make sure they leave the area neat, clean and organized. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

  • Proper installation and watering of all molds on all presses.

  • Housekeeping; including return of unused supplies and auxiliary equipment to appropriate locations.
