Assistant General Manager
Job Description
We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to support the daily operation of a high‑volume industrial manufacturing plant. This role helps ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting production teams and maintaining overall plant readiness.
What you’ll do
- Oversee day‑to‑day facility operations, including production flow, equipment use, and general plant activity.
- Support frontline supervisors and ensure teams understand daily priorities and expectations.
- Monitor safety practices, enforce compliance standards, and participate in incident follow‑up.
- Assist with scheduling staff, coordinating resources, and managing workflow to reduce downtime.
- Partner with maintenance to support equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Help manage reporting, KPIs, and operational updates to support leadership decision-making.
- Promote a positive, safety‑focused, and solutions‑oriented work culture.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing teams in a fast‑paced setting.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment flow, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using basic reporting tools and MS Office; exposure to ERP systems is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an advantage.
