New England Elite Basketball is seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced basketball leader to serve as the Elementary & Middle School Boys Director beginning in June 2026.
This role is responsible for leading and developing the elementary and middle school boys basketball divisions within the New England Elite program, while helping build a strong long-term pipeline of players prepared for high school and beyond. The Director will oversee coaching, player development, program structure, and seasonal programming for grades 3–8, while also working closely with leadership to expand participation and strengthen the program’s foundation. This is a part-time stipend position with performance-based bonuses tied to program growth and development.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all elementary and middle school boys teams (Grades 3–8)
- Developing a clear developmental curriculum aligned with the New England Elite philosophy
- Ensuring consistent teaching of fundamentals, basketball IQ, and team concepts

A major component of this role is helping build a middle school pipeline that feeds into the program’s HGAL high school teams.

- Preparing players for future participation in the HGAL circuit
- Identifying players with long-term potential
The Director will play an active role in expanding the New England Elite youth program.

Assisting with youth development initiatives
Preferred candidates should have: Prior basketball coaching experience at the youth, middle school, or high school level and Strong understanding of player development and skill progression. Former college players, current high school coaches, and experienced AAU coaches are encouraged to apply.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Camp Director to lead our camp program operations on-site at each one of our Sofive facilities listed above. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a background in sports or recreation, the ability to manage all program operations on site, and a passion for driving overall growth of the camp. Directors should have experience leading people, organizing, implementing, and managing a vast range of activities across several groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- CPR, First Aid, and Epi-pen certification (must already be certified or be willing to earn certification prior to the start of camp)
Staffing
- Hire all camp staff - including assistant director(s) and coaches.
- Develop a training and development program to enhance the skillset of assistant directors and coaches
- Schedule staff hours for all weeks of camp based on registration numbers and coach availability
- Ensure background checks on assistant directors and coaches are completed prior to the start of camp
Curriculum
- Develop an engaging and fun curriculum with games and activities that are tailored to our camp programs (programs vary by location but can range from: multi-sport, soccer, flag football)
- Develop different and unique themes for each week of camp (2-3 weeks depending on location)
- Create daily schedules of games/activities
- Generate a list of equipment needed for games/activities
On-Site Camp Logistics
- Be the first staff member to arrive on site and the last member to leave
- Responsible for setting up equipment for daily meetings with coaches, check-in areas for parents, and games and activities for campers
- Responsible for maintaining a clean camp environment and ensuring equipment is gathered at the end of the camp day
- Engage with parents to answer questions and address concerns
- Communicate with US Sports Camps to address registration questions
- Collaborate with the General Manager at the Sofive facility for on-site logistics (i.e. getting lights turned on, etc.)
- Respond appropriately to any behavioral or medical incidents following camp protocols.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by following camp policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
CAPH/SNI operates in a hybrid work environment, with two required in-person days (Monday and Wednesday) at the office in Oakland, CA for those living 40 miles or less from the office; one required in-person day (Monday) for the other group. The remaining days are conducted remotely.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Associate Director will analyze and/or develop a set of policy and legislative initiatives, either individually or as part of a team, that strengthen the ability of public hospitals to meet their long and short-term goals. A successful Associate Director of Policy will be proactive and curious and, over time, come to deeply understand CAPH’s strategies, goals, and interdependencies to effectively and efficiently develop policies and positioning and advance CAPH’s priorities. This position is classified as exempt.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
Under general supervision from the Director of Policy and following agreed-upon policy objectives and plans, the Associate Director of Policy is responsible for developing a variety of policy positions related to public health care systems. He/She/They will work in close partnership with the CAPH government relations team, CAPH members, and external partners to effectively support public health care system goals and strategies. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead work on a portfolio of state and federal policy issues on behalf of CAPH and its members. This may include analysis, the development of recommendations, and engaging with state and federal departments and external stakeholders to advance this work.
- Lead and/or participate in issue-specific teams to advance policy work, collaborate with colleagues, and provide input, analysis, and expertise on assigned issue areas.
- Represent CAPH at stakeholder forums, informational and legislative briefings, and other external convenings. Establish and maintain effective relationships with administrative and legislative staff and stakeholders with interests/ties to relevant policies.
- Inform members and CAPH’s Board of Directors on key policy developments through presentations, memos, and other written updates. Facilitate dialogue/feedback with members on policy issues, building consensus when needed.
- Acquire and maintain proficiency in knowledge of public health care system financing, operations, and care delivery and actively apply this knowledge to inform policy work.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree in public policy, public health, public administration or closely related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of health policy experience.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid/Medi-Cal required.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships in a variety of policy and advocacy settings.
- Experience analyzing policies, developing strategies to support, oppose or advance changes, and advancing those strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a small, team-based environment.
The starting salary range for this position is $115,000-$135,000. CAPH offers an extremely competitive benefits package.
