Job Summary and Qualifications
- Under the supervision of the ACNO, the Director of Clinical Operations, you will have accountability and is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Medical City Surgical Hospital Alliance.
- Responsible for applying best practices and evidence-based knowledge in facilitating optimal patient flow throughout the organization.
- Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff, internal as well as external to the organization to achieve favorable patient outcomes.
- Responds to occupancy bed demands throughout the day with action-oriented steps geared toward maintaining acute bed access for patients within the hospital’s delivery system.
- Performs job functions in a manner consistent with the Texas Board of Nursing and in accordance with the hospital’s goals, objectives, policies/procedures and mission.
- The Director of Nursing Operations is responsible for the development and oversight of high quality, cost-effective and integrated surgical hospital programs among the nursing areas. Ensures efficient and timely throughput throughout the continuum of care.
- Assists the CNO in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care while improving standards of care delivery, standards of practice, and fiscal stewardship in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Will exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within the management scope of this position ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff.
- Maintains knowledge of social, economic, legal and regulatory issues, which impact the health care delivery system.
- The Director of Nursing Operations will be accountable for the overall success of day to day operations within the surgical hospital’s assigned areas to include Med/Surg Inpatient, Pre-Op/PACU, Surgery, Cath Lab, IR, Radiology, Lab and Pharmacy.
What qualifications you will need:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Masters preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years management experience required, 5 years preferred.
Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications:
- Current RN license by the State of Texas or from a Compact State, if primary state of residence is in compact state. BLS and ACLS.

NorthBay Health’s Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and launching our new residency program.

The Program Director will be responsible for the leadership, organization, development, and overall administration of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In this role, the Director will establish the strategic vision for the program and ensure it meets the highest standards of graduate medical education.

Qualifications
Education and Licensure:
- MD or DO Degree from an Accredited Medical School
- Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
- Unrestricted licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
Experience:
- Academic Appointment: 5 years’ Faculty experience as a member of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.
- Minimum of 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in Graduate Medical Education.
- Compliance: Deep knowledge of and adherence to ACGME program requirements, including maintaining accreditation, scholarly activity, and mentoring
- Clinical Experience: Extensive clinical experience, often with a minimum of 3 years of postgraduate training
- Possess the required specialty expertise, as well as documented educational and administrative abilities, to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program.

Associate Director, Online Learning Job Summary:
We’re looking for an Associate Director, Online Learning to join an Association in Washington, DC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that will require you to work onsite three (3) days per week. As the Associate Director, you will work in conjunction with departmental leadership to implement the department’s strategic vision and oversight of the Division-wide online and blended learning initiatives and content development. The position requires experience in instructional design and education program development across different modalities, working closely with subject matter experts, procuring, and managing external vendors and partnering organizations, and measuring business impact and effectiveness of deployed learning solutions.
Associate Director, Online Learning Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in executing the department’s vision, strategy, and development of accredited online learning initiatives.
- Lead and support the instructional design team to deliver high-quality online learning programs that meet or exceed departmental performance metrics.
- Recruit and collaborate with psychiatrists, subject matter experts, allied organizations, and internal stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and develop educational content.

Associate Director, Online Learning Qualifications:
- BA/BS and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with managing complex projects with demonstrated success in meeting deadlines, managing vendors, and managing related budgets.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; proven research skills to gather data, best practices, and points of view to ensure sound judgment.
- Experience working in associations industry is preferred.
- Experience with adult educational and/or healthcare programs is preferred.

The Opportunity
- Assist Medical Director in the realms of Quality and Patient Safety.
- Using Vituity resources, stay up to date with CMS' evolving quality metrics and requirements and learn how to reinforce compliance within Vituity and within your local practice operations.
- Serve as Sepsis champion, adjust workflows, and order sets to optimize bundle compliance to meet System goal.
- Attend monthly PLT meetings as well as quarterly JOC meetings.
- Chair Emergency Department Operations Committee.
- Assist Medical Director with developing strong relations with Saint Agnes Medical Staff Departments on acute issues or policy optimization.
- Chart and case review as needed.
- Assist Medical Director with formulating annual goals for Operations, Finance, Patient Experience, and contract optimization by strong engagement with Saint Agnes and Trinity Health Executive leaders.
- Assist with recruiting physicians and advanced providers to the practice.
- Assist Medical Directors of both Vituity Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine to improve Integration.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency through an accredited residency program required.
- Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided required.

The Opportunity

- Provide learning and development opportunities and mentoring to providers and staff to enhance their clinical acumen, leadership skills and overall professional growth.
- Evaluate the performance of physicians and PA / NPs in compliance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
- Monitor physician competencies with progressive improvement using appropriate metrics. Counsel, suspend, or remove staff from the schedule as necessary in compliance with Vituity polices / guidelines.
- Actively participate in contract negotiations in conjunction with the Regional Director.
- Develop, foster, and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff and other healthcare team members.

Administration
- Participates in the organizations strategic planning activities.

- Interface with nurse clinicians/resident educators and social workers to provide resident care continuity, between hospital and home.
- Coordinate services to meet resident needs from the time of the new referral through the initial at home intake visit.
- Provide consultation to agency staff regarding new home care nursing treatments.
- Maintain liaison with attending physicians.
- Establish and implement priorities for services when resource limitations require.
- Coordinate referrals to other community agencies as appropriate.
Quality Improvement:
- Establishes Quality Improvement planning teams.
- Identifies data collection requirements and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and to ensure quality of client/resident care.
- Identifies systems to recognize resident needs, respond to resident needs, and to measure the outcomes of agency interventions.
- Utilizes this data to provide direction for improvements.
- Services on the Professional Advisory Board, if needed.

Human Resources:
- Make health care staff hiring decisions.

- Provides leadership to the clinical staff.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing program with a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Current license as a RN in the state(s) of practice.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a combination of long-term care dementia care or acute care. Home care experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory/management experience in a health care setting.
- CPR certified.
- Knowledge of Home Health regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
