The Test Solutions Center (TSC) team within the Hardware Discipline Center is a multi-discipline organization that provides test solutions to support production lines for our entire missile portfolio. The software team within TSC is responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. The Software Engineer II position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. • Support both filebased and APIdriven data exchange solutions, with guidance from senior engineers
• Develop an understanding of how data quality, timeliness, and system behavior impact the client and administrator experience
• Assist with enhancements and defect resolution in existing systems, including batch processing and integrations
• Participate in production support activities and incident triage, using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and other engineers to deliver incremental improvements aligned to business priorities
• Follow established engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and deployment

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing software using Java and familiarity with Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Exposure to batch processing, integrations, or applications that ingest and process large volumes of operational data
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows
• Willingness to learn and work within a complex domain involving customer and employee data
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, ask questions, and incorporate feedback through code reviews and collaboration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates accountability, curiosity, and a desire to grow technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to relational databases such as SQL Server
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Maintain control, traceability, consistency, and security of all configuration items across the digital development lifecycle

• Manage digital product development/media libraries
• Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning
• Provide DPCM Tool administration / management control/access to CM relevant tools/applications (i.e. Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, Gitlab, GitHub, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• Administer/manage/use DevSecOps tools like Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo
• Coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments
• Lead coordination of various digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership ensuring on-time delivery and configuration management execution in digital development environment/area

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) a minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience
