Job Title: Product Engineer IV - Surface Treatment and Fabrication

Pay Range: $75.00 - $84.92/hourly

Contract Length: 12 months (chances for conversion/extension)

Location: Tualatin, OR; Livermore, CA; Fremont, CA

Job Responsibility:

The candidate will be responsible for process and product evaluations for surface treatments including precision cleaning and micro-contamination control. The ideal candidate will play an active role managing projects and products relative to supplier manufacturing development, quality initiatives, supplier selection, problem solving as well as designing and conducting independent experiments and tests.

This role will be the primary interface [SPOC] managing projects between the Supply Chain [SC] teams [Surface Treatment and Fabrication]. Project management duties include working with CFT teams consisting of supply chain teams [Fabrication & Precision Clean], engineering, manufacturing, field service and suppliers during new product and process development and customer escalation.

Candidates need to exhibit excellent problem-solving skills: defining the problem, identifying objectives, assessing risk, developing approach, analyzing results, and providing recommendations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Candidate would be supply chain, SPOC, responsible for project managing customer FA, process development within multiple supply chain commodity [surface treatment & Fabrication] related to inorganic, organic, particle contamination, material, and fabrication issues.
• Ensures suppliers’ manufacturing processes are in place to produce reliable products in a repeatable manner.
• Coordinate development activities with suppliers and product groups in developing new products.
• Conduct effective supplier visits in evaluating and managing new and existing suppliers.
• Design and execute an experiment, review data, develop conclusions.
• Implement industry standard process control techniques such as six sigma techniques to manage and develop production efficiencies and quality for our products.

Minimum Qualification:

• Minimum Education: BS/MS degree in a technical field listed in (but not limited to) the following: ChE, Chemistry, Mat Sci, Mechanical Eng.
• 4+ years of experience w/ BS or 2+ years w/ MS
• Experience in Precision Cleaning, Fabrication & manufacturing technologies of metals. Semiconductor industry exp would be desirable.
• Hands on experience in process or product development, manufacturing engineering, FA on products returned from the field related to inorganic, organic, and particle contamination and material issues.
• Solid understanding & Working knowledge of GD&T, SPC, DOE, FMEA, FA, RCCA, 8D & 5-Whys Problem solving
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and experience leading cross-functional project management w/ proven history of successful resolution.
• Ability to travel within US

Preferred:

• 5+ years applicable experience in precision cleaning, metal fabrication in high volume manufacturing, preferably in a semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing Suppliers, and leading large CFT to resolve Failure analysis for contamination and material issues.
• Demonstrated experience project managing CFT, identifying both technical and operational supply chain risks for precision cleaning and fabrication.
