The Position

Duties may include: Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain such as mud, rocks, grass, dirt, steep hillsides, heavily wooded areas, and other unpaved surfaces Moving around active project sites, which may involve climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles Performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing Remaining in a stationary positionβ€”either standing or sittingβ€”for extended periods of time Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and/or carting objects up to 50 lbs distances up to100 yards.

Driving to and from project sites which may involve distances of up to or exceeding 120 miles round trip.

Must be able to function safely in an environment with potential risks, including, but not limited to those described in this document.

Work from heights exceeding 6 feet Must be able to wear a properly fitted safety harness and be knowledgeable of the correct use and of regular inspection of the harness and components Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignment The work environment may include exposure to a range of environmental conditions, including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and other outdoor elements.

Work may also be performed in noisy conditions or confined/enclosed spaces.

Position Overview

The Firm Administrator oversees and coordinates firm finances, human resources, compliance, vendor relationships, IT coordination, and office administration across all firm locations. This position plays a key leadership role in strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives.


Job Responsibilities

β€’ Oversee and coordinate firm finances, including taxes, audits, billing, budgeting, and implementation of financial policies

β€’ Manage and coordinate all aspects of firm administration across offices, including HR, firmwide insurance and retirement benefits, worker’s compensation, state unemployment, and professional liability insurance

β€’ Manage and assist with state-specific HR compliance issues, tax and business filings, and other state office requirements

β€’ Collaborate with firm vendors, suppliers, and service providers

β€’ Coordinate firm IT to ensure consistency in operation and function firmwide, including liability insurance and ensuring computer systems and software reflect industry standards

β€’ Manage and support hiring processes across offices, including recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and training of new employees

β€’ Seek to improve internal processes by identifying areas for greater efficiency, cost savings, and improved workflow and client relationship management

β€’ Participate in the strategic planning process with Firm management to identify and accomplish short- and long-term Firm goals

β€’ Respond to individual partner, associate, and employee questions, concerns, and administrative matters

β€’ Maintain and suggest updates to Firm policies and Employee Handbook resulting from changes in applicable law and best practices

β€’ Communicate and coordinate with the firm’s Management Committee and other partner committees, as necessary
