POSITION
Geologist/Environmental Engineer
SALARY RANGE
$75K – $115K depending on level of experience.
ROLE
- Plan and conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site characterizations, and remedial investigations for complex contaminated properties (e.g., highway corridors, industrial properties, and large-scale redevelopment and infrastructure projects for public agencies including the Port of Oakland, City of San Francisco, and Contra Costa County).
- Oversee drilling, well installation, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sampling, noise level surveys, air monitoring, and construction oversight.
- Prepare boring logs and process soil, groundwater, and soil vapor data.
- Develop or refine Conceptual Site Models to support data interpretation, risk assessments, and remedial strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports construction erosion and sediment stormwater inspections and be available 24/7 to support inspections.
- Works closely with Operations and Engineering on monitoring compliance and close out of construction projects.
- Provides support to operations and engineering for multi-media environmental compliance programs.
- Conducts multi-media environmental compliance inspections to meet permit/plan requirements.
- Conducts waste sampling for waste characterization and disposal.
- Supports environmental regulatory inspections.
- Develops and conducts environmental compliance training.
- Conducts environmental self-assessments to improve environmental compliance.
- Develops environmental plans and reports for submittal to regulatory agencies.
- Inspects and advises on operations and construction, for numerous facilities and projects, across a large geographic area in West Virginia.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Environmental Specialist:
0-2 years' related work experience.

Environmental:

The Environmental Services Aide performs the general and aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, auxiliary room and other specified areas throughout the hospital, using proper cleaning guidelines and procedures.

The Pittsburgh Office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is looking for a litigation associate who will devote their practice to environmental litigation. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience, including drafting motions, pleadings, and written discovery, and managing document review projects. Prior experience in environmental matters is preferred but not required. An interest in environmental law and environmental litigation is essential.
Our environmental practice includes experienced environmental lawyers who work on a variety of matters, including oversight of contaminated sites, environmental compliance counseling, and advising on emergency/incident response. Our litigators join with these lawyers to develop strategies for incipient disputes and to work on administrative proceedings, alternative dispute resolution, and civil actions
Responsibilities:
- Manage cases from inception to conclusion.
- Conduct factual investigations and research, interact with clients.
- Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery.
- Research relevant case law, statutes and regulations.
- Prepare for and conduct depositions, argue motions.
- Conduct and manage all aspect of discovery, including e-discovery.
- Prepare for, assist in and conduct hearings and trials.
- Assist in business development and marketing opportunities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Personal skills/attributes:
- Communication skills: You must be able to communicate effectively and produce excellent written work product.
- Organizational skills: You must have a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, such as document review and management for active litigation;
- Legal acumen: You must understand pertinent legal principles and strategies in this area, e.g., privileges and protections when working with technical consultants.
- Work ethic: You must be willing to devote yourself fully to your practice, work long hours when necessary, and maintain the intellectual stamina to learn and understand complex information and cases.
- Attention to detail: You must be highly detail-oriented. Your work will require you to understand, synthesize and explain complex factual information and legal concepts.
- Technical skills: You do not need to have a scientific background, but you do need a demonstrated ability to work with complex technical materials.
- Flexibility: You must be willing and able to work in a variety of areas such as transactional work, litigation, real property law, and administrative law.
Technical skills:
- 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience is required.
- Excellent written communication and drafting skills, with experience drafting memos, pleadings, motions and discovery and an ability to produce concise and effective written work product are required.
- Outstanding legal research skills are required.
Other requirements:
- Should be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be in good standing.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (KTBB) is seeking a Projects & Education Coordinator to lead community cleanup events, corporate volunteer projects, and environmental education initiatives throughout the Tampa Bay area.
This role plays an important part in connecting volunteers, schools, and community partners to hands-on opportunities that support litter prevention, beautification, and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead volunteer events, including the Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup, Hallo-Clean, Volun-Tines Cleanup, After the 4th of July Cleanup, Storm Drain Art Projects, and along with the Environmental Projects manager coordinate corporate volunteer cleanups.
- Plan and host our neighborhood cleanup series to engage new volunteers and community groups.
- Track and report volunteer hours, debris collected, and event participation metrics.
- Assist with event logistics, supplies, equipment management, and program reporting
- Share updates and promote volunteer opportunities, events, and environmental initiatives through social media and community platforms.
- Support and help deliver environmental education and outreach programs with schools, youth organizations, tabling events and community partners.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating events, volunteers, or community programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors and occasionally evenings or weekends for events
- Preferred: Associate’s (AA) or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, education, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
