About the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies was created in fall 2025 to further position Georgia Tech as an international leader in research, education, and community and industry engagement at the intersection of arts, technology, and design. Housed within Georgia Tech's College of Design, the school's pedagogical approach integrates artistic foundations, technical innovation, and creative entrepreneurship. The school leverages Georgia Tech's existing strengths in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and student startups to digital media and music technology, adopts the culture of practice-based studio pedagogy in the College of Design, and builds sustained partnerships with creative studios, technology providers, startup companies, nonprofits, and artists-in-residence taking advantage of Atlanta's thriving creative ecosystem.
The school will begin offering a B.S. in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies in Fall 2026. Through the degree, the School seeks to develop the next generation of leaders that will guide the transformation of creative practices by emerging technologies, as we also support the workforce needs and continued growth of the creative economy in Georgia.
The launch of this new school is a critical part of Georgia Techs broader strategic plan for growing the arts across the Institute. Georgia Tech recognizes the role of the arts in cultivating creative thinking, the increasingly important role that emerging technologies play in the arts, and the potential for Georgia Tech to support a thriving campus arts community in connection with a growing ecosystem of arts organizations and creative industries throughout the state. Georgia Tech has also announced plans for the Creative Quarter, a 7-acre innovation district that will foster collaborations, inspire innovation, and build community through arts, creativity, and technology.
Job Summary
The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applicants will be considered mainly at the level of Assistant Professor. The School seeks applicants whose interdisciplinary creative practice and/or research connects innovation in emerging technologies with areas such as film, gaming, and immersive media. The candidates primary area(s) of interest may be in creative practice that integrates technology in novel ways, in the creation of new technological tools that support creative practices, or in any combination thereof. - Contribute to the planning and development of the new school, including strategic planning, curriculum development, and the eventual creation of additional academic offerings
- Participate in service at the school, college, and Institute level, including search committees, student applicant reviews, and governance committees.

Other schools include The School of Industrial Design, The School of Building Construction, The School of City and Regional Planning, and The School of Music Technology. Job Summary
The Georgia Institute of Technologys School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at Associate or Full Professor in the School of Architecture in the area of Architecture and Design Computing. The successful candidate will: First, lead the development of research agendas in this area; second, serve as steward for the Eastman Fund to support doctoral students; and third, work with the School Chair and the Dean in order to reshape the mission of the Digital Building Lab (DBL).
The DBL was created by professor Chuck Eastman to address design computation, data standards and interoperability. Over the years it has housed studies in design and construction automation; project delivery systems; and smart buildings, infrastructure and environments, often working in conjunction with the Digital Fabrication Lab which provides a setting for design-build projects for the faculty and the students. The DBL has also fostered collaborations between the faculty of the School of Architecture, the School of Building Construction and the School of Industrial Design, as well as collaborations with the research labs of the faculty including the Shape Computation Lab (SCL) and the High Performance Buildings Lab. Under professor Chuck Eastman, funding came from both successful research applications and from industry memberships. The partnerships with industry fostered and sustained a link between academic research and advances in practice as well as in research internal to major architecture firms. Now is the time to redefine and revitalize the vision and the mission of the lab, taking into account current developments in artificial intelligence, data-based design decisions, and advanced digital modeling of buildings and their performance.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidate include securing and conducting funded research, stewarding the future identity and growth of DBL, mentoring early career researchers, advising PhD students, leading the development of forward-looking curricula for the MS Arch and PhD programs, and teaching advanced graduate courses in candidate's area of expertise.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have a terminal professional degree in Architecture or an allied discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong record of publications on architectural and design computation and/or the development of digital technologies applicable to building design and construction; and a strong track record of sponsored research, industry collaboration, and teaching. A Doctoral Degree is preferred. An interest and ability to relate research to studio teaching is welcome but studio teaching is not a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Perform preventative maintenance on food service and refrigeration equipment as well as scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers' recommendation and/or as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Duty 2 -
Carry out installations of new equipment.
Job Duty 3 -
Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of food service and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, dishwashers, fryers, stoves, ovens, and grills.
Job Duty 4 -
Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning, and equipment servicing.
Job Duty 5 -
Interpret equipment manuals for proper training, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Job Duty 6 -
Attend quickly to emergency calls on equipment repair issues, as well as to after-hour work calls.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Director of Engineering – PLM & Data Governance is responsible for the strategy, architecture, governance, and operational reliability of the organization’s digital engineering ecosystem. This role oversees Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD configuration management, and engineering data infrastructure.
This leader ensures that engineering artifacts such as CAD models, bills of materials, specifications, requirements, revisions, and engineering change records are accurate, secure, compliant, and accessible across the organization. The role also supports the development of a consistent digital thread connecting product development, manufacturing, and lifecycle support.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Systems Ownership
- Provide strategic direction and lifecycle management for PLM, CAD configuration management, and related engineering platforms.
- Define system architecture, configuration standards, lifecycle schemes, and long-term system roadmaps.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
Data Governance Leadership
- Establish policies, standards, and controls for engineering and product data.
- Define naming conventions, metadata structures, and data ownership models.
