Key Account Manager – Beauty / CPG
A fast-growing, LA-based beauty brand is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to own and grow strategic retail partnerships. This role is ideal for a motivated, analytical sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and has a strong understanding of beauty or CPG.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow key retail accounts, representing a diverse portfolio of beauty products.
- Lead regular buyer meetings and headquarter calls; identify customer needs and present fact-based selling stories.
- Deliver annual volume, trade spend, and profit goals; analyze trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Implement customer-specific sales strategies aligned with broader channel strategy.
- Negotiate terms and conditions and ensure successful implementation.
- Optimize product mix and SKUs to drive new item sell-in and sell-through while maintaining account profitability.
- Complete annual account reviews and support additional projects as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years in account management or sales support within beauty or CPG.
- Experience with off-price retailers (e.g., TJX, Ross, Burlington) strongly preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, competitive selling, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with sales systems/ERPs (SAP experience a plus); willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to periodically lift up to 30 lbs and move quickly in an office/retail environment.
