Your contribution
The responsibilities of the intern encompasses the protection of assets for Wakefern Food Corp. and any affiliation such as a 3rd party warehouse, vendors, contractors and all associates conducting business for or with the company. This includes but is not limited to accidents and injuries, violence in the workplace issues, fire protection, crisis management, loss of product through theft, grazing or damage from any means.
What you will do
- Monitors the guard force to ensure the enforcement of divisional and corporate policies and procedures are maintained.
- Responds to all alarm activations and determines the cause and proper approach to the re-setting of the alarm.
- Oversees the daily operation of the CCTV operator and ensures all data entry and reports are kept in accordance with divisional policy.
- Responsible for the issuing of all trailer seals for store deliveries, back-hauls and shuttles from the various warehouse facilities, all gate and tractor trailer release passes, as well as time stamps and receiving stickers.
- Maintains that all Asset Protection emergency equipment is kept in a state of preparedness to meet any given situation.
- Coordinates visitor protocol all Wakefern Divisions and facilities.
- Has the responsibility to familiarize themselves with the shipping and receiving procedures with all product divisions, also completing receiving and seal audits as needed.
- Responsible for Access Control and the issuing of the access cards and maintaining the integrity of the access control platform.
- Oversees the work performance of Asset Protection vendors, i.e., alarm, guard and camera companies, and maintains proper records.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service, confidentiality and have the ability to interface with all levels of Wakefern / ShopRite Associates.

Compensation and Benefits:
First year Wakefern Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Returning Wakefern Interns will be paid at $18.00 per hour. Master Students and Returning Wakefern Supply Chain/Logistic Interns will be paid at $19.00 per hour. The Role: Responsible for assisting guests, maintaining public safety, controlling access to restricted areas, and preventing unauthorized items from entering the venue.
Job Functions:
- Assist Security Manager to recruit, interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline department staff for efficient control of the department.
- Supervise and direct security staff to implement the security plan to ensure safety, care, customer service, and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and lead improvements and implement adjustments as necessary.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and direct manner.
- Investigate and resolve issues and customer complaints.
- Circulate among guests to preserve safety, order and to protect property.
- Patrol premises to detect problems, threats, and prevent unauthorized entry through aisles, doors, gates, and fences.

- Check tickets and passes to ensure that guests are seated in the appropriate reserved seating areas.
- Assists guests by directing them to the appropriate seating areas and other venue amenities, answering questions about the venue or event, and helping to solve guest issues as they arise.
- Warn guests of rule infractions and apprehend or evict violators from the venue.
- Assist medics to reach and remove guests in need of help.
- Complete written reports of incidence occurring during each event.
- Assist with post-event cleanup in the pavilion.
- Work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions.
- Other tasks assigned by the Security Manager or Security Supervisor.
- Always display a positive customer service attitude.
Qualifications:
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, standing.

JOB SUMMARY
The overall objective and purpose of the Security Supervisor are to assist the Security Manager to manage the security department staff as well as guard industrial or commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establishes operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention and firefighting, traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel involved with classified information, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts.
- Collaborates with representatives of local government to ensure cooperation and coordination of property activities with law enforcement and firefighting agencies.
- Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds to watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
- Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
- Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
- Sounds alarmed or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Permits authorized persons to enter the property as necessary.
- Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips
- Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
- Performs janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperatures in buildings or cold storage rooms.
- Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at property entrance to maintain orderly flow.

Description
Manage, develop, and help successfully launch new semi-metallic, non-asbestos organic friction materials for Carlisle’s extensive customer base. Manages a group of formulators of dry and metallic friction products while still being a formulator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Directly and indirectly develop friction materials in transmission and brakes for off highway (mining, construction, agriculture), aircraft, power sports, recreation, heavy truck, and industrial applications. This will include supervising and some pilot/fabricating of test materials manufactured in plant environments.
· Participate in and sometimes lead project/program management of a typical APQP/stage gate/phased launch process for creating new materials (NPD, NPI).
· Responsible for managing multiple testing plans/DVP&R’s across a broad range of applications, formulas, processes, customers, and plants.
· Regularly report out on program status, team progress, performance and actions.
· Develop personnel performance and development plans in conjunction with company goals.
· Assist in study of markets, customer applications/usage, new technology and regulatory landscape to create technical roadmaps.
· Generates research and development projects with focus on commercialization and product launch.
· Participates in industry associations globally for materials, testing, brakes, and various end-market industry associations.
· Experience in ceramics, polymers, composites, and other materials and material science systems.
· Position requires a strong theoretical knowledge of coppers, steels, non-ferrous powder metallurgy and friction characteristics associated with brakes, clutches and drive trains.
· Experience with composite mixing, molding/bonding, curing/baking, and finishing of dry friction products is desired.
· Some experience with metallic or powdered metallurgy environments is helpful.
· Experience with sintering/brazing and heat treatment of steels is helpful.
· Have the ability to use concepts and tools of Six Sigma as a means to develop materials to meet customer requirements. These can include Design of Experiments (DOE), DFMEA, and the ability to understand a QFD (Quality Functional Deployment) to establish customer critical requirements.
· Interfaces with sales personnel in and on customer visits when necessary. The object is to understand conditions under which the manufactured parts must operate in the longer term from an applications perspective.
· Comfortable presenting technical data sheets, test results, and failure analysis to both internal and external customers.
· Collaborate on equipment setup, operation and maintenance procedures for laboratory and dynamometers.
· Recommends new and improved test procedures to improve test quality and reduce test time.
· Interfaces with product and manufacturing engineering to introduce and further develop new materials.
· Assist production when difficulties occur in manufacturing parts in the engineer’s product area.
· Interfaces with test engineers to develop new test methods and procedures as well as communicating how test data is analyzed and presented.
· Interpreting dynamometer and analytical test lab results.
· Assist quality control and supplier quality to work on production and developmental issues relating to part quality, standards, testing methods, and analysis of defects.
· Support sourcing via helping to identify new suppliers, assisting with supplier audits as necessary, generating standards/specifications for qualifying incoming products.
· Experience in evaluating new raw material sources due to shortage, va/ve, and performance enhancements is highly recommended.
· Assist with the creation and maintenance of ISO/QS documentation and control systems.
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Physics, Composite Materials & Structures, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Masters or Advanced Technical Degree in these fields preferred but not required.
Experience and/or Training:
· Ideally 10-15 years of experience (more preferred) in compounding/formulating, product development, testing, and launch of materials.
· Ideally 3-5 years of experience (more preferred) in managing formulators/compounders.
· Position requires a strong theoretical knowledge of physical properties and materials science relating to the use of such materials in friction material composites.
· Analytical evaluation typically includes DSC, TGA, FTIR, GC Mass spectroscopy, elemental and phase identification, particle size, optical and electron microscopy, particle sizing and compound identification.
· Experience with the use of these materials in friction applications such as brakes, clutches and drivetrains is a plus.
· Practical experience with the use of Six Sigma techniques is desirable but not essential as formal on-site training is available and encouraged.
· A history of successful commercialization of friction materials is preferred.

Inventory Specialist
As an Inventory Specialist, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of inventory operations across physical and system environments. Working closely with Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure that materials are accurately received, tracked, stored, and issued to support production schedules.
This role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on execution, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring that physical inventory aligns precisely with system data to enable reliable production planning and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Track, receive, identify, and document inbound inventory in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate shipping activities and ensure outbound materials are accurately processed and documented.
- Maintain alignment between physical inventory stock levels and corresponding quantities and locations within the ERP system.
- Own inventory accuracy by executing and maintaining a robust cycle count program.

- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks on items, scanning and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Collect money (cash or checks) where required. Load customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors.
- Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent• 12+ months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL-A Must be 21+ years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location
